If the star rating was inversely related to the number of times I rolled my eyes when reading this book, then it wouldn't even receive the minimum 1 star from me. This was one of the most painful to read Modern Romances that I've come across. I've thought about it a lot and the only way I can come up to describe it is half-hearted. Hollis has taken about a dozen good ideas, thrown them together and then done absolutely nothing with them. The characters are stereotypes - it's like the author thin ...more

WEIGHT OF THE CROWN by author Christina Hollis is released by M&B Modern as well as Harlequin Presents.

Alyssa Dene is personally recommended as the best in the job and she takes on the duties of nanny to the orphaned nephew of Prince Lysander Kahani. Coming face-face with the Prince, Alyssa is aware of his playboy reputation but cannot help the flicker of attraction running through her!

Lysander meets a challenge! The previous nannies had come running to him to be consoled after his nephew th

Aaaaahw! I am a freak when it comes to fairy tales, princes, princesses and happily ever afters. The front page do not do him justice i ...more

Reads like a work of what one is more likely to classify as classic literature rather than a simple romance story. Like all of Hollis's work, this goes above and beyond what M&B normally put out, and, their standard is usually high.
Weight of the Crown was a simply fabulous read. A story that captured my attention and made it very difficult to put down.

I've been reading and writing all my life, and January 2007 saw the paperback publication of my first Mills and Boon Modern Romance, The Italian Billionaire's Virgin. I really hope you enjoy my books!

I love romance, and meeting my husband on a blind date was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. We live in Gloucestershire, England, with our son, daughter, varying numbers of livestoc
