This book started off with a bang and it kept right on delivering fireworks right up until the end. Then it went kind of flat for me.
Okay, I'm a stickler for factually correct. It kind of lost me when the police procedural aspects went to total fiction. If there's a suspected murder or foul play and it happens to someone from another jurisdiction, they're at least going to do a welfare check. There's going to be something. It wasn't as off as Silent Run, but it was off. The writing ...more

Catherine and Dylan really couldn't appear to be more different. She is a little bit of a psychic and he is a skeptic. Doesn't sound like they'd get along...But when something happens at a mutual acquaintences (sp) wedding they are thrown together for a whirlwind adventure. Very good reading. I wouldn't give it a five just because I am a snob about the style in which things are written. The story line was intrinsically satisfying to unfold.
Dylan Sanders, brother of Jake, from the first book is drugged by an ex lover and wakes up in the middle of the woods. He is being framed for a murder he didn't commit. Catherine, a psychic friend of Sarah's (Dylan's sister-in-law) joins Dylan to help clear his name. They fall in love and reveal all of their secrets. Another super fast read. Great suspenseful ending.
it was intriguing and exciting and then the end came and i wanted to throw it across the room! it was a horrible ending and it was just so flat. it was almost like the author got tired of writing and decided to just throw anything in there and leave it! very frustrating because it could have went so much further.
This was the second book in the Silent series. There was romance, intrigue, murder and lots of action. Very enjoyable read that occasionally had me on the edge of my seat. Never expected the ending - before the epilogue. Recommend it. Will definitely look for other books by Barbara Freethy.
This book was great! I wasn't too hooked at the beginning but it kept me guessing and I had no idea until the last minute who dunnit. The romance part of the plot wasn't too great, but I liked the psychic heroine, and all the misdirection hints that kept me guessing until the end.

Great read! Lookingforward to reading more by this author. Excellent plot, nice twists and turns and a little bit of romance thrown in. Who coup ask for anything more?
I liked this book better than Silent Run (although they were both good). I liked the characters in the book and story line better as well. But the ending was a little far fetched, but still a nice read. :-)
This was an okay book , it got annoying at times , but overall I liked it . I think it would have appealed to me a lot more if I read the first in the series first haa . At the time I didn't know there was one before this though . It was an allright book , easy read . (:
A follow up to "Silent Run" where Barbara Freethy continues the tale of intrigue, mystery and murder.
Fast paced, suspenseful, exciting, and romantic! I love Barbara Freethy's books!
I agree with Regan Taylor.. this was a great book.

Loved this book!
good follow to the first book. An enjoyable read
So glad to have found another author that I enjoy reading. Her stories get me from page 1!
The sequel to Silent Run, this book is filled with a little more sex, more gore and if you are into the psycic thing...this book is for you. It's a bit far fetched, but it still keeps you on the edge of your seat with each twist and turn. Be careful who you think is after them...not always who you think.
Another good one from this author. Action right through the whole book.
not as good as Silent Run, but this book was kind of a continuation to that one. Most of the book was very predictable except for the end during the who-dun-it reveal. i was slightly disappointed with who it was.
This is excellent book. You should read " Silent Run " before you read " Silent Fall" it is character series .. Both of her books is also Excellent ones.
The sequel to Silent Run. It was great--- and one I didn't have a clue as to the ending!!! I love it when a mystery keeps me guessing.
This was #2 so I had to read it. Very unbelievable plot and that was irritating. And I never like psychic stuff.

Barbara's love of writing developed out of a love of reading. Growing up in an all-boy neighborhood, she spent quite a bit of time reading through her mother's large library, many of which were romantic novels. After graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara, she went into Public Relations, but soon discovered that writing was her true passion.
