The man behind the uniform...

Jaded cop Oliver Sullivan moved to picturesque Kettle Bend to leave behind bad memories. Locals leave him alone — until a video of him rescuing a drowning puppy goes viral, making him a celebrity!

Sarah McDougall sees it as a perfect opportunity to promote the struggling town. But when she interviews the gruff cop, he's not the warm, caring hero

This was touching and sweet. I liked the characters and the plot. There were some really aggravating moments, some sweet and happy moments, insights, and a good ending. This was definitely more of a chick-flick type book but still enjoyable. It isn't a tear-jerker but the potential is there. I loved the way the characters finally came together and the happiness of the moment. This is good for an anytime read and something for a lazy day. Enjoy
Very good book. Oliver had isolated himself from everyone except his sister's family. He hated being a celebrity because of rescuing the dog. When Sarah tried to get him to help out with the town festival because of it, he did his best to chase her away, but she wouldn't go. She just kept going back, using everything she could to get him to cooperate. To his surprise, pretty soon he liked it, and found himself falling for her. This scared him because he didn't want the darkness he felt inside hi ...more

Very cute category romance about a cranky cop (Oliver Sullivan) who's caught on video rescueing a puppy from a river. When the video goes viral, a local woman (Sarah McDougall) tries to convince him to agree to several national interviews so he can talk up the small town's summer festival and bring in some much needed tourism dollars. She's a bubbly, optimistic woman who's recovering from discovering that her fiance has cheated on her; he's a burned out cop who tries to dista

This was a great story about a cop (ex-homicide detective) who rescues a puppy from drowning in a river .. And about a woman who will move mountains to restore the four day 4th of July annual event for the small town she spent her summers in as a kid.. But Oliver wants nothing to do with the puppy, never mind the woman who "needs" his help to make things right for Kettle Bend..

I really enjoyed this story and how both of them have overcome their past experiences while finding their way towards e

Liked the dog, but it was hard to relate to the cop & the heroine. They were too extreme.

A good read that is fun to follow, with outstanding characters including a a big mutly pooch. I gave this one a 4 star.
