My dad thought I'd like this book. It was good to see the forefathers of science and think about how the world was different before these breakthroughs. The most entertaining part for me was the "breakthroughs" of the 50's that the author had thought was important at the time that, compared with the rest of the book, was fairly comical, most notably the cloud seeding.

I used to read this book during my commute to work/school (when the line on the bridge was long and slow enough to read some pages). I should point out that this book was written 50 years ago, so it felt kind of weird while reading about the breakthroughs.
Easy, interesting and entertaining reading. I wish I had read this when I was in middle school.

I can't give less than 5 stars to Asimov. Even though we don't agree on everything, he was a science divulgation genious.

My mom gave me this book, it was being discarded from her school's library and I used to look at it before I could really read it and then when I could I read it over and over.
