Cinderella has had one happily ever after but now she finds out that her new mother-in-law is quite mean. She calls Cinderella useless and since she doesn't want the queen to think she is - she tries to find a job. In the end, she starts a makeover business and her and the queen bond as she does her over.

I must say that these books are super cute. The series After Happily Ever After is great for younger and, also, struggling readers. The plot is fun (and definitely a bit girly) and has a great m

Have you ever wondered what Cinderella got up to after her wedding to the dandy Prince Charming? Well, I've read at least ten books already that describe post-nuptial adventures from the (literally) Charming couple. They all differ in variety, length, and quality. Yet, this version quite possibly joins the most auxiliary of the lot, thanks to its laughably severe characterization of Cinderella and inadequate writing style. The story sets soon after the wedding, when Cindy's mother-in-law begins ...more
This is a really cute beginner chapter book series for kids. It's basically fairy tale sequels. In this one, Cinderella has to find a way of proving to her new mother-in-law that she's more than a pretty face. It has adorable illustrations and really nice, short chapters. Definitely a good transitional chapter book for beginning readers.

Our oldest brought this book home from her elementary school library. It's a fun story about what happens after the end of the fairy tales. After the happy ending of the fairy tale, Cinderella is feeling useless and wants to get a job to prove her worth. After a bad start, she discovers where her true talents lie and engages her entrepreneurial spirit to start up a new business. The narrative is entertaining and the black and white illustrations complement the story nicely.

A great spin on what (might) have happened after Cinderella becomes Mrs. Cinderella Charming. Especially if she trades a mean/grumpy step-mother for a mean/grumpy mother-in-law.
Cute! I love the chapter book fractured fairy tales that go along so well with our picture book study. Cute, quick, and silly stories!
Another fun look at what could happen after "happily ever after!"
All of the wee books in this series are good for wee ones.
An amusing tale of life after marriage for beloved Cinders.
This was a fine book, but maybe for a 5 or 6 year old.
