All she needed to pack was a few bikinis, a toothbrush and some sunscreen. This is what Ben told Erin when he presented her and Todd with tickets to Fiji and the promise of ten days of nothing but sleeping until whenever they wanted, sex without having to lock the door and lots of alone time.

And that’s what they have. Long days and nights filled with pleasure. Long enough...more

Let me first say that I love this genre of book. I am hooked big time. But there was something unique about this series that had me rolling my eyes and I finally just realized what it was that was bothering me. Well, I have only read the two books involving Erin, Todd and Ben so with regards to those two here are my thoughts: The sex and passion are great, however I found it really annoying just how PERFECT everyone was. Nothing was ever wrong with the three of them. They all walked on water and...more

I've never been much of a fan of Erin and even less so after reading this short story. Her melodramatic behavior and constant need for shelter and protection is so unappealing to me. I would have loved it if Todd and Ben had escaped to Fiji for sexy times and Erin stayed home with their son, Alexander. Alexander was a cutie. I could have stayed with him and enjoyed his visit with Brody more.

This story was about 3 perfect people who have a perfect love, perfect sex, and a perfect life; because, well...they are perfect people. No one in the history of the world has ever loved each other the way these three do, because they are so very...perfect.

I could deal with all this perfect a lot easier if I liked Erin better. I didn't much like her in her book; and through the course of the series came to dislike her intensely...'wah-wah-wah, it's all about me' Erin showed up in spades the last...more

It’s always a treat to get to revisit favorite characters and I’ve been looking forward to seeing what Erin, Todd and Ben have been up to recently. They’re raising their son Alexander in Seattle, living their lives that are full of love and surrounded by family. This novella, Laid Open, gives us a small peek into their relationship, as the trio takes a much needed vacation for some alone time.

Their vacation in Fiji is full of sun, beach and lots o’sex! They’re in a secluded locatio...more

I am huge, HUGE Lauren Dane fan and I LOVE her Brown Siblings series. I fell in love with Erin, Todd and Ben in their book Laid Bare, and continued to fall in love them through the other books in the series. I really did not think I could fall more in love with these three characters, but Lauren Dane has done just that.

Erin, Todd and Ben need to get away and relax and reconnect. These three have been through it all. Family issues with their relationship,...more

I will admit, as soon as my iPhone dinged with an email last night, I knew it was my notification that this book was now on my various Kindle related devices and ready to download. I was giddy with anticipation and was glad I only had 10 more pages to read in the book in my hand so I could jump right to this one. An hour and a half later, I was glad I choose to forego sleep so I could spend the wee hours of the morning with Todd, Ben and Erin.

For those that may not have read picked up any of the...more

Short story about Erin, Ben and Todd at the end of the series a few years down the line. It shows the things they still are dealing with withing their relationship and how Erin handles her grief now. This kinda annoyed me that she STILL pushes them away. I don't wanna sound cold when I say "get over it", but this takes place at least three years after she gets together with Ben and Todd (they have a 2 year old named Alexander) and it was four years prior to that, that Adele was killed. I'm not u...more

There is absolutely nothing new about this book since Laid Bare except they have a kid. But they go on vacation almost immediately, so you really don't experience that part either. I guess Todd and Ben are more into each other in this book as well, but you don't get to see that develop, so it just sort of becomes fact.

I didn't think this book was bad necessarily, but I think it should have been offered for free on the author's website and not $2.99 on amazon. It is SO short. It ends at 80% and t...more

3.5 stars.

Why I read it: My favourite book in this series is Laid Bare - where this threesome got together so it was a no brainer that I was going to pick this one up.

Warning: Series spoilers ahoy.

What it's about: (from Goodreads) All she needed to pack was a few bikinis, a toothbrush and some sunscreen. This is what Ben told Erin when he presented her and Todd with tickets to Fiji and the promise of ten days of nothing but sleeping until whenever they wanted, sex without having to lock the doo...more

Oh My! I can not get enough of Erin, Ben and Todd (although I have to admit I love Ben the most). I like how we got a lot more of the story from Ben's POV this time around, with the dynamic these three have and Todd being a bigger portion of the first book it feels good to see Ben is a huge part of the relationship.

This book deals with that dynamic a little when Ben confides in Todd about how he feels about his role in their Triad. I always loved how Erin shows her love towards Ben and it was gr...more

This is for the person who has already read Laid Bare. It continues Todd, Ben and Erin's story. It does address a lack in their original story. Todd and Ben have progressed to deep love for each other in addition to their love for Erin. They now experience this love more fully with each other.

In this short novella Ben expresses his frustration of being seen by "outsiders" as a third wheel and not a husband to Todd and Erin. This is not addressed in this too short story. I hope we revisit this s...more

This book was like visiting old friend whom I haven't seen in a while. I was so excited to see them and catch up--until they became those friends that just wouldn't leave. After a while I got bored. Nobody in the history of the universe has ever loved anybody more than Erin, Ben and Todd love one another. NOBODY. LIKE EVER. EVER. I feel like I need to really emphasize this point because seriously nobody has ever loved anybody more--NO REALLY. So have I made my point? Ok good. Did that get old? W...more

I love the Brown Siblings and all the books surrounding them. At the beginning of 2013 I went on a Lauren Dane binge after reading Tart and I fell in love with Laid Bare. This novella follows Erin, Todd, and Ben who were the heroes and heroines of the first book in the series and my favorites.

I've checked into many triad situations or polyamorous relationships in books and Laid Bare is the best example I've seen so far. Erin, Todd, and Ben are all eq...more

Well, you know if the main characters are Erin, Todd & Ben there will be lots of steamy sex involved. And there is. In fact, the majority of this are descriptions of their sexual encounters. So if that isn't what floats your boat about this series, you can easily skip it without feeling that you may miss a plot point going into the next book.

Next book you say? At the end of this is an excerpt from Tart, the first title in an offshoot series which will be called Delicious. And delicious is th...more

I wanted to like this one more. I was sad that I didn't.

Let's talk about the good:

Good-any time Todd and Ben get it on....GOOOOODDDDDD. they were hot and yummy. Love them.
Good--adding a girl into the mix of the above mentioned Todd and Ben...ultimate fantasy for me, so good.
Good-parents getting a break to go to freakin' Fiji with no kids and getting a chance to reconnect, awesome!

But, seriously, why does Erin ruin everything all the time?! she needs some serious therapy. She's got ano...more

Oh...Lauren Dane. WOW...I had to wipe the drool off of my chin and put my Kindle in the freezer after I finished reading Laid Open. LOL ;)

I have been anxiously waiting for this novella and I was so not disappointed!!! I got everything that I wanted and more from Todd, Ben, and Erin!! There was romance, love, laughter, tears, and of course HOT SMOKING sex, sex, sex!! *sigh*

Ben has always been my favorite of the trio but oh, how I loved Todd in this book too!! I absolutely love these 3 and I was...more

Oh Erin, Todd and Ben...how I've missed you! LAID OPEN is a snippet into the lives of three of my favorite characters. We saw them meet and fall in love, then we saw them grow as their relationship became stronger. They even had a baby. And when little ones come into the picture, there's less time to focus on the grown up relationship. Especially with some of the more extreme requirements these three have.

So they are going to Fiji. And I can really just...more

One final look at Ben, Todd and Erin from Laid Bare. An absolute must read. Just to mention that Brown Siblings is one of my favourite series, so that only means that I am completely biased and could not wait to read some more of these characters in any book that came after it, but was based on friendly and family ties. I have fallen in love with these characters in every Brown Siblings novel so far, so that reading this short novella was a too shor...more

I love this series! It's one of my all time favorites so I loved getting to peek in on Erin, Todd and Ben and see what's goin on in their lives lately. Laid Open is a novella about the first vacation the trio make without their now toddler son, Alexander. And what a vacay it is! On a private island in (or off??) Fiji, they get to have no-holds-bar hot and steamy sex without the worry of little feet running down the hall to interrupt! ;) A little glitch when Erin gets hit hard with the anniversar...more

A follow up to Laid Bare, the start of Ben, Erin and Todd's love story. I adore that Lauren wanted to give her fans more of this triad, you see how over time Todd and Ben's relationship has become less hesitant and more deeply developed, and Erin still loves her men.

There's a twist and turn in this novella which brings us back to events of the past, but to be with this triad again and to enjoy them vegging out in Fiji is just an awesome gift to series lovers from an author.

I actually read this one before book 4 as I felt as i missing so much with Erin, Todd and Ben. The last 2 books touched on them but I felt I had lost so much of Todd from the first book that its upset me.

Getting a feel of the love that Ben and Todd felt is what i liked most of this book. We all knew how Erin felt about both of the guys but it never fully touched on Ben and Todd and I'm glad that Laid open was out so i could read it. I hope there is more. I love these 3 the best so far!

This was a really quick read, and I got pretty much what I was expecting.
Erin is still a character that I can't stand. I do not know why Todd and Ben love her so much. If I was them I would get rid of her and just be the two of them.
What I enjoyed about this book was seeing how the relationship between Todd and Ben has progressed. Dane has teased us readers for quiet a while with little snippets of these two together, but never delivered. Well at long last she did in this story.
What annoyed me...more

This book is basically Erin, Ben, and Todd on a sex vacation. If you take it too seriously then you will hate it, but if you let go and just enjoy the yummy, yummy sex than you will love it. I enjoy a m-m-f book where the two men actually love each other and get it on and this book did not disappoint me in that aspect.

I LOVED getting a glimpse of Ben, Todd and Erin. I think my favorite parts where seeing how close Todd and Ben has become and how much their love has grown for one another. Their moments together was some of the sexiest of the book. I would love to see more from them in the future. They will always be my favorite.

So much more than I expected! there is so much packed into this short novella, that brings us to a new understanding of Erin, Ben and Todd's relationship. Cannot be read as a standalone, there is too much backstory, although Dane does a good job of seamlessly reminding readers of the details from the earlier books.

Well, I guess this is an epilogue of sorts for Todd Erin and Ben. Basically 80 pages of sex. Seemed like the majority of high the sausage was between Todd and Ben. I still can't understand the relationship, HEA poly love is just so unbelievable to me with no ounce of jealousy. Anyway, hot sex scenes...minimal story line.

Rather a bit disappointed in this book: quite short and almost a repetition of Laid Bare in the re-visiting of Erin's angst over the death of Adelle. ALWAYS a satisfyingly sexy read though!Especially as Todd is SOOOO comfortable now w/ his relationships between them all. THAT part was ..... wooh, HOT!

Lauren Dane has been writing stories since she was able to use a pencil, and before that she used to tell them to people. Of course, she still talks nonstop, and through wonderful fate and good fortune, she’s now able to share what she writes with others. It’s a wonderful life!

The basics: Lauren is a mom, a partner, a best friend and a daughter. Living in the rainy but beautiful Pacific Northwest,...more
