When her friend, Michael, sits down next to her in the hallway at school, it leads her inside the doors of the Mormon church, a group she’s been warned against for years. Dani begins to listen to the small vo...more

I ADORE Jolene, both as a person and as a writer. She is one of those story-tellers who can draw you in immediately and keep you there until the last page. I love her voice. She's an expert at conveying emotion and making the reader feel everything the character experiences.

Three things I loved most about My Forever:
1) Dani's ability to make BIG comebacks. She's one of those characters you want to shake one second and hug the next. Love that.
2) Michael rocks. Flat-out rocks. If I could hand-pick...more

Dani is my all-time favorite character.
Michael was based on my husband.
This story makes me cry in two places almost EVERY time I read it, and I've read it a lot...

Alright, so I started this book and DNFed it half way through.

My reasons are this:

I felt like this book slammed on Christianity. No matter what religion tour in, Everybody makes mistakes. There are accusations about Christans saying rumors about Mormans and that did not sit well with me.

2. I felt the story moved at a good but was too preachy. It just felt like every chapter you read re-affirmed that Mornans are the perfect people and this is the perfect way.

IDK. I loved the first two books but...more

Jolene Perry is such a genius. I so adore her writing and I don't even know why. She makes me connect with the characters and combines the perfect mix of fabulous and flawed to create a wonderful heroine.

I don’t know if I want to look. Do I want to see the baby that won’t be mine? I feel like if I don’t embrace the process that I’ll cheat this baby out of the experience it should have while in utero. Maybe that’s weird. I want the baby to feel loved. Even if it’s just by me.

Dani is not a Morman...more

I am a huge fan of Jolene's Next Door Boys series and although my first one came from netgalley I have purchased the rest of the series when they have been released. Without even having to read the synopsis I knew I had to read My Forever
Dani is in trouble, single, young and pregnant with a very religious family. Her parents are angry and kick her out oftheirhome, leaving her to fend for herself with the little belongings she carries in her bag. When her friend Michael, and his sister, Tracy fin...more

Still have to stick with my thoughts that this is written like a typical LDS romance, but there were some things that were really interesting. It goes into detail about how cancer patients can feel like a burden while they are going through chemo and struggle to not distance themselves from those they love when they begin to loose hope that they will survive.

I liked this story. About finding your way and joining the LDS church. I am always drawn to stories where they involve adoption. My heart went out the main character about her feelings about placing her daughter for adoption. It helped me understand and relate to my daughter's birth mother. Cute romance story as well.

I wondered at first how this book would tie in to The Next Door Boys, but it all fit together nicely. I liked the main character (despite a couple of her choices) and how she learned to recognize and then had the courage to follow the quiet voice speaking to her heart.

I really liked how this series ended. I liked how the author in the end acknowledgements said she knew the story ended up working out so ideal but after reading it I loved the main character and thought she deserved ideal.

I wanted more of Brian and Leigh and was so happy they were there in the end. Loved it and had some crying sessions in this one too.
Jolene definitely rate as a favourite author at this moment!

Looks good! I liked how The Next Door Boys was such a positive feeling book, but didn't shy away from hard situations or emotions. It was sweet, but not sugar-coated.

4 1/2 stars. Beautiful ending to an amazing trilogy. Loved how Jolene incorporated Brian and Leigh in Dani's story. Full review posted soon.

I love how Jolene Perry writes! I love Dani, as I read the story I felt like she could be my best friend. There was one part that I would have changed but it was one part so I just kept reading. I couldn't put this book down! With that being said there were some errors, extra spacing between letters, some of them were at the end of a line and would go down to the next and it wouldn't make sense, but I just overlooked them because I enjoyed the story.
I love Jolene Perry's LDS novels!

So I just finished this like 2 minutes ago and my reaction?

I wanted so much more in that ending!!!

Well written, again. I had a hard time with Dani's parents. I cried for her as well as them. How can they be "Christian" and treat her like that? Except for the book I read after this one, I have really enjoyed Jolene's books. The characters are strong and make tough decisions and seem sooo real.

I was super surprised to see a #3 in this series!
I seriously started it today and finished it tonight! I really loved it!

Great story. A couple of typos/grammar issues, but that's the OCD showing through. I believe this is self-published so I'll overlook it. :)
