I read this book straight through in one sitting. It’s pretty much non-stop, with very little slow-down, and it’s an easy read with a very fun premise. It’s strictly for entertainment; you’ve got to be able to suspend disbelief, but if you can make that jump, you’ll enjoy this book.

I imagine the author must have had a chart to keep track of all the double-crosses and double-backs! The main character, apparently based on Danny Devito (Danny De Lito???), is very well drawn and I could imagine him...more

Note: I was given this novel in return for an honest review.

Reading this book requires a mental gear shift into farce, with a hefty seasoning of suspension of disbelief. Only then can you enjoy the ride, and what a ride it is.

The pace is fast, and the plot is handled with assurance. Danny is an excellent character study and really came alive for me. I was stumped as to why his character’s name was Danny de Lito, and Robert was Robert de Firo, when all the other names were kept true to the origi...more

Huzzah Rory Cantwell. You've penned an exciting read, well executed and based on a star-studded walk of fame premise. Imagine a posse of Hollywood actor look-alikes pulling the caper of the century. A good hustle calls for a pile of loot, lots of twists and turns, two fat marks and a baddie perched in a pear tree ready to tumble. It's a rumble. Some crash land. Others sail away rotten rich.

Cantwell juggles characters faster than a card shark in a casino. Call it an ensemble piece and reserve a...more

When was the last time you read a great movie?
Here's one with "silver screen" written all over it. And starring all your favorite actors.
Well, actually look-alike doubles of your favorite actors. Who are tired of making a measly living getting hired out for mall openings that want Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts on hand, or covering for a star who's relapsed into rehab, or even porn films. But who wouldn't pour money into a film with Pitt, Roberts, Robert De Niro, Danny De Vito, Samuel Jackson and...more

This book made me laugh out loud from start to finish! absolutely brilliant. I couldn't put it down - which says alot, I like to surf and was reading it on Waikiki beach!

What an original idea, I suspect we'll see this made into movie soon, it has to - it'd be hilarious!

A book truly deserving of Hollywood fame and more

This well plotted, fast paced romp is beautifully constructed and exciting. More twists and turns that the swimming pool full or particularly twisty-turny corkscrews.
