This is just ridiculous! Never, in my life as a dedicated romance reader, have I been so enamored with a group of men. Oh, I've loved plenty heroes, but no series has been able to capture my heart quite like this one. The Sullivans get better with every single book!

Loved this book as much as the others, except for two chapters, which I will get into shortly. This has been a great series, and I can't believe that there are only three Sullivans left. Andre has come so far from the days when her books were too heavy on the erotica and too light on the romance. This series has toned down the hot-and-heavy, and amped up the romance nicely.

This has been a great series, and I can't believe that there are only three Sullivans left. Zach and Heather both have 'daddy' issues that keep them from falling in love - until they meet each other, and just can't resist it. The love story was very good (if incredibly fast), and the issues they had were handled well by Andre. Every time I thought she was going to go for the easy out, and let them be stupid; she took the story in another direction. Until the end, and the two chapters from hell, as I like to think of them. Zach has an accident, and shuts Heather out. Both of them get really, really, really dumb. Instead of staying and trying to talk to him and work through the issues (like adults, maybe?); Heather bails, thinking he doesn't really love her. Zach just sits there like a bump on a log and lets her go. Of course they both eventually have their epiphany and fall back into each others arms. Zach's comes from his mother telling him a story about his dad; and Heather has a dream. Seriously.

I hated those two chapters, and I'm going to forget they ever existed or rewrite them in my mind. If anyone ever mentions them to me I'm going to stick my fingers in my ears - LALALALALALALA...I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!

Now that those two chapters are officially erased from my mind; I really liked the rest of the book, especially the funny scene where the whole family stood around and watched them kiss and make up. I liked Zach and Heather, they were both real people and Andre wrote them with good emotional depth. Throwing in the dogs was seriously cute.

Next up is famous brother Ryan (the pro baseball pitcher); and then all that's left is Smith and Lori. Good series, I've really enjoyed it, and the look into the lives of the (mostly) rich and (all) beautiful Sullivans.(less)

These books are just like chocolate... totally addicting and full of sugar! Sometimes they have the tendency to get sticky sweet, but I can't stop with this series...I really have enjoyed it. This has been the best of the series so far, which surprises me because Zach had really not piqued my interest at all in prior books. I am *DYING* for Smith's book already!

Zach is a middle child in the large and prolific Sullivan family, all of whom apparently are interesting enough to have their own book, but he is the one son who most resembles the late, beloved father who tragically dropped dead of an aneurysm when Zach was seven. Zach even gets headaches like his father. So Zach decided that he, too, will probably drop dead early and therefore has resolved to never form a lasting relationship because of the pain his passing would inflict on his survivors.

Two weeks later, these two are declaring "I love yous." (Oh, c'mon, it's a romance novel. If you think that's a spoiler, then why are you reading reviews of romance novels when you obviously know nothing of the genre?)

And thus my problem with the book. For all the belly-aching the hero and heroine engage in regarding their resistance to love, they get over it really quick. The emotional obstacles are leapt over with a single desultory hop. (view spoiler)

I just couldn't make myself care. Nor did I think the San Francisco setting was used to its full advantage; this book could be set in Any Town, USA, and indeed, it felt waaaay more like a small town romance than set in one of the US's most distinctive urban centers.

The dogs were cute, however. And I liked the glimpses I got of Zach's family. Maybe I started the series with the wrong Sullivan.

Perfectly adequate, but not a keeper. If this had been a paper book, it would be on top of the pile of books to donate. (less)

Heather has sworn off love – believing that it isn’t really real and just an act that her parents put on for her to cover the fact that her father has always been sleeping around. Zack’s charm sets her nerves on edge and it takes her really getting to know him before she see’s the man deep within. Luckily he is up for the challenge.

Zack has no problem with love, in fact, he knows it’s wonderful which is why he has avoided it. Ever since Zack’s father died when he was just seven his biggest fear is that he will one day leave behind a widow to morn him. So he has kept women at a distance. And that was fine until he met Heather and subsequently now can’t imagine living a moment without her. But is enjoying whatever time he can have with her and possibly falling in love worth the risk of leaving her to a life without him if their time is cut short? It is a question he struggles with constantly. And can Heather learn that all men are not like her father?

Zack is a joy for both Heather and the reader to learn more about. They start off their relationship agreeing to keep things casual with no strings attached since that is all they both are comfortable with. But regardless of their concerns about developing things too emotionally, Zack is such a sweet guy that things can’t help but progress. He is funny and has a knack for making each simple moment they share into something memorable. If you have not read this series before this could be read as a stand-alone. However, most of the family (a total of eight siblings and his mom) makes appearances throughout and you will enjoy it more if you go back and read the previous books in the series. Although both characters have their own concerns about getting into something they both are mentally healthy and mature in their current lives. Their relationship progresses naturally and yet still at a relatively quick pace given their concerns. All in all though it is a believable story and masterfully written as all of Bella Andre’s books are. This one and the rest of this series should have their own space on the “to keep and read again and again” shelf!

Heather has never given love a chance. Having grown up in a family where love was just an illusion, she had her view of love shattered at a young age.

Oh. My. God. How could you not love Bella Andre and the Sullivan Brothers? What a fantastic book “If You Were Mine” is. Ms. Andre again wrote another erotic, witty, humorous, loving, oh-so-sexy book about one hot “mechanic” and a beautiful dog trainer. And, how she brought them together – yes, you could see it happening in real life which is what I love about Bella Andre's books. There is nothing “out-there”; it could be a true story about how two people met and fell in love.*sigh* And, I think I loved the love story about Cuddles and Atlas just as much as Zach and Heather!

Heather is a dog trainer who is sent to Zach to help him train Cuddles who he was conned into watching while Gabe, Megan and Summer go on vacation for a few weeks. Zach, being the softy that he is, just couldn't say no. But, we all know how Zach feels about woman and a “happily ever after” for himself – it's okay for his brothers but he will never give in to love. Heather doesn't believe in love either. After her father's deceit throughout her life, she doesn't trust love at all. So, friends-with-benefits it is. Or is it? They both have their secrets and their haunts from the past. It is going to take a lot for them to open up to one another. It is going to take a lot for them to see the love right in front of their eyes. With the help of family and 2 furry friends, they will not only finally believe in love but believe in the love that they have found for each other.

As I said in the beginning, this was just a great book. I had such contradicting feelings in the beginning of “If You Were Mine”. I cried for both Heather and Zach and what they were feeling about themselves but then I was hopeful that they would be able to bring out the best of each other. I laughed with Cuddles and Atlas and was thoroughly pissed off at Heather's parents. Then, as the book went on, I just smiled and then smiled some more. The “seduction” scene in the book is unbelievable. It is so realistic and descriptive that you can feel Zach's hands on Heather, you loose your breath when she looses her's. You feel the love he is pouring into his love-making with Heather and you feel Heather falling more and more in love with Zach. There is no way to describe this scene other than wildly erotic and hot; not so much in the act itself, but in the build-up and seduction of Heather. WOW. The banter between Zach and Heather, the “mutt” and “full ball”, and all of his siblings is wonderful. Everyone is back, of course. Naughty (Lori) is still scheming (I can't wait to see how she falls) and Nice (Sophie) and Jake are still all starry-eyed. (Zach is still mad at Jake for getting Nice pregnant) Ryan and Smith just love busting on Zach and flirting with Heather now that he is falling; Chase and Chloe have their shining moment (no spoiler) and Marcus and Nicola make an appearance as well. But, there is a wonderful scene in the book between Zach and his mother Mary that had me in tears. Such a moving and poignant point in the book. Thank God for Mom's and how they know just what to say and when.

So, the only way that I see to end this review is to thank Bella Andre for bringing us the Sullivan's; for giving us true-to-life love stories; for allowing us to become a part of the Sullivan Family, if only for a few hours while we are reading her books. If you asked me to pick just one of the Sullivan Series that would be my favorite, I would have to laugh at you. There is no way to choose. Each story is wonderfully written and flows into the next book seamlessly. Ryan – you're next – the baseball world better look out because I think Ryan and Vicki's story is going to be explosive!

Andre has another winner on her hands! I wasn’t sure how she would be able to top the last two books (both of which were my favorites of the series), but she has. Zach Sullivan definitely has what it takes to be crowned the hottest Sullivan. His possessiveness, determination and unexpected vulnerability made me love him completely. But it was his charm that really made me fall in love with Zach. Unlike the other Sullivans, he is great at the witty banter and I guess it helps whenever he does that slow smile that makes the ladies burn.

Zach was easy to love, but Heather also had a lot of emotional depth to her. We learn of her past and the not so bright moments of that time in her life. Her parents are together, but unhappy and that reflects back on how Heather sees men and relationships. The question is, whether or not she will allow Zach to help her overcome those fears and feel safe with him.

Their love develops slowly, but it is satisfying because at the end of the book, you feel as if both of them have crossed oceans to get where they are supposed to be. I loved every moment of this book and only wished there was more to devour.

Andre is a master storyteller, weaving together the lives of two characters who simple don’t know the meaning of love...until they meet each other. Loved it!(less)

Okay, let me just summarize my feeling...

Yup, this seems about right... Wow, the series has been amazing, but I think this one, along with the love story of Gabe and Megan have been the best so far!

First of all, let me just say how happy I am that the book included dogs, and not just any dogs, but two of the loveliest, friendliest and cutest dogs ever! Atlas and Cudles (yeah, way to go for a name) claimed my heart from the very beginning!

Based on his descriptions in the previous books in the series, I thought this would be my least favorite Sullivan boy. I'm not into cars and he sounded like an egotistical jerk. Funny thing, the heroine pretty much agrees with me at the beginning and by about a third of the way into the book we'd both fallen for him and didn't want to admit it.

I was extremely excited to read 'If You Were Mine.'

Bella Andre has a way of writing flawless romance that always hits me in the right spot. Her stories are seamless, with each page packed with the purest heart fluttering words as well as all that hot and heavy stuff I love.

Enter dog trainer Heather Linsey and Zach’s world is getting ready to be turned upside down. I loved Heather from the moment she was first introduced. She wasn’t willing to fall at Zach’s feet as every other woman had his entire adult life. When Heather’s dog Atlas falls for Zach’s temporary dog Cuddles, Heather and Zach find themselves spending more and more time together.

The attraction between Heather and Zach is obvious from their very first meeting. However, neither is looking for more than “friends with benefits” because of issues both have in their past. Once they do finally give in to their attraction, it was super sexy. Zach and Heather’s “friends with benefits” relationship soon looks like it is becoming so much more. Heather and Atlas continue to be there to help Zach and Cuddles (I love how Atlas and Cuddles love each other so much). Zach is there for Heather when she has to have dinner with her parents, and Heather is there for Zach for the birth of his new niece.

Zach and Heather are both such strong characters and I loved them together. I really wanted Heather to confront the people who caused her demons from the past, but that is the only thing I wanted to happen that didn’t in this book. Bella Andre has always given her readers books filled with a wide range of emotion, and she delivers again with If You Were Mine. At any given time I could be laughing, crying, or yelling/cursing one of the characters.

In the last few books Zach has been probably the least talked about except for his good looks. In this book my heart broke for Zach and the little boy he was and all that he lost. The fear that engulfed him so he tried not to fall in love so they would never have to lose him. Zach gutted me. Thank goodness for a stubborn just as damaged dog trainer.

Bella Andre does a wonderful job creating and developing characters readers care about and become emotionally invested in. She does it again with Zach and Heather in the newest Sullivan book, If You Were Mine. Zach and Heather are afraid to fall in love due to their past but with the help of their dogs, how can they not? Another great book by Bella Andre and another great book in the Sullivan series.

For anyone who loves romance or a great series this is a must read. Zach & Heather's story is great, but what makes a great series to me is the repetition of previous characters. Bella Andre is great at that and the Sullivan series is perfect.

Oh how I loved this book. Yes, the whole IT'S JUST SEX thing has gotten damn old, but everything else made up for it. I rolled my eyes at the beginning of the book and promptly got over it.

This book has:
A strong hero and heroine.
No mothersucking Misunderstandings.

This book started out fun and really enjoyable. I really liked the characters and I enjoy the Sullivan family as a whole. But honestly it's as though this author cannot write a book without a big, stupid separation. Not even a good one. As as the story goes, you're just waiting for it.
