Sovereign Hope is a pretty nice and interesting read. While I did have some issues with the writing, primarily with the romance and sometimes a little on the heroine I can say that it had shown quite a number of potential to be a good series. Maybe just a little improvement here and there.

Farley was a character I couldn't identify with immediately. I wasn't sure what to really think of her character at first and it took me some times to get used to her. I don't know if she's tough or just reall...more

"When the tailsman and the fair sovereign borne of the line are found in unity, she will possess the power to destroy our great people forever.".........

I went into this book with high hopes.

I have been in the mood for something different lately, and haven’t been able to find one that’s already in my kindle to read. I ran across this book, and read the blurb, then viewed the trailer. I’m a sucker for a good book trailer, (I...more

Sovereign Hope is the first book in the Hope series by Frankie Rose. When approached about being part of this blog tour, I was excited to be part of it. Just from reading the synopsis, I knew I would like this book. I wasn't wrong. It was one of the best books I've read so far this year. I'm going to try hard not to gush, but I'm not making any promises, guys.

Sovereign Hope is a fast-paced, suspenseful thrill ride from beginning to end. It had all the ingredients a great book has; lots of actio...more

When I received the request to review this book, the synopsis really drew me in. Of course, it helped that the cover was gorgeous, and on watching the book trailer, I was pretty sure I wanted to read this. I’m so, so glad I did, because I ended up absolutely loving this book.

Like many other people who tend to read paranormal books, I’m always slightly concerned on starting one that I’m going to have read something like it before. After all, there are only so many ways certain paranormal creatur...more

Wow! This was a fantastic YA story and the cover is very eye catching! It takes a lot to wow me when it comes to YA but this book was amazing! Enter the world full if immortals but not the usual kind you read about....
Sovereign Hope starts out with a girl named Farley, her Mother left work early one day and hasn't been seen since and that was six months ago. Farley is just shy of turned 18 and is in her last year of High School, her best friend Tess is all she has left since her Father died befo...more

First of all, I have to thank author Frankie Rose for giving me the opportunity to read her debut novel a month early. This was so exciting for me; my first ever review request! I can’t express enough how grateful I am for this opportunity. On the other hand, I do feel the need to say that the fact that I received a copy of this book for review did not influence my opinion on this book in any way, shape, or form. Therefore all opinions stated in this review are mine and mine alone. Now that we’v...more

Okay, here I go again.
I was planning on write this review since the day I finished reading the book, but guess what? It didn’t come good.
Every time I start writing I ended up repeating the “I loved it” phrase. And you know that’s really annoying!
Once again I don’t want to say a lot about the plot cuz it was so unique that I want you to live the thread getting caught surprised of such amazing scenes and characters.
Did I say that I loved Daniel? Naw, I haven’t mentioned him!
Well, Daniel is that da...more

Severely disappointed. This was not what I had expected from the blurb. The whole book was basically Farley moping around in a bland, underground cavern. There was some action at times but it wasn't enough for a good suspenseful read.
The writing was poor, in my opinion and sometimes I found it hard to comprehend what she was trying to say. I don't mean to insult the author, but that was just something that bothered me a bit.
I did like Kayden though and would've liked to explore his character...more

Gotta say that I'm impressed with this one. It caught my attention right from the start and kept it. I liked the characters and the concept. There were things that I felt could have been fleshed out a bit better and the romance part did make me frustrated (not that I didn't like the couple...just felt a little bored with the whole "I'm gonna treat you like crap but I really do love you" thing that so many books are going with...) but overall a very entertaining read. I look forward to the next i...more

First off I would like to take this time to thank Frankie Rose for sending me a copy of Sovereign Hope to review. When I first read the blurb for Sovereign Hope I was instantly intrigued, I wanted to find out more about the book because there was just…something.

I loved this book from the beginning to the very end. It was a page turner and kept you on your toes and at the edge of your seat. I loved the main Character Farley. All she wanted to do was find her missing mother that has been missing for 6 months. There is one day where she is in traffic and ends up slamming in a back of a truck and that moment changes her life forever. She ends up meeting a mysterious man named Daniel that tells her to come with him or she is going to be killed. Throughout t...more

Celeste and Christina's Review:

Initial thoughts:

Celeste: Oooh, action! But I want to know what is going on. Oooh, romance. Who is the hot guy with all that chemistry with Farley?

I need to sit on this one before I write a review. Suffice to say it is fantastic! You need to grab a copy.

Update 24/7/12

Sovereign Hope is one of those books that grab you from the first page and does not let you go. I adore this book on so many levels. I have been in a reading funk for a while, I just felt like every book I was reading was the same. I have to say a huge thank you to Frankie for asking me to review her book because I was blown away. I had the pleasure of reading this book for rewview for Totally Bookalicious and I loved Sovereign Hope, I couldn’t get enough of the story or the characters. I felt from the start it was completely action packed and the storyline was fresh and exciting it had me guessing from the start what was going to happen and the majority of the time I was wrong! I couldn’t wait to get to the bottom of each page, I loved that it wasn’t centered around vampires or werewolves but instead something I hadn’t r...more

OMG OMG OMG!!!

I FINISHED THIS BOOK IN ONE NIGHT!!! I've never done that before. All i can say is that i enjoyed it I'm going to be a nightmare until the next book comes out. I loved the main characters. they were way more believable than some of the ones I've read about in books recently. Farley's amazing because she's strong and smart and she doesn't do retarded things every five minutes, which was refreshing.

Daniel was... sigh... so HOT! I really wish there had been more making out. If you'r...more

The story begins with Farley in her car and figuring out that she is being followed and from there on in this story zaps by. And that was the main thing that I liked about this story. There was no pausing in the actions and no moments were I wanted to skip to the next page. Everything about it made me want to find out what happened next.

The villains of the story are a group of immortals called Reavers and there human no-longer-quite-themselves minions Immundus. So guess who our hero has to keep...more

A strong female protagonist, an unusual discovery, a heated romance and lots of action to boot!

Welcome to the world of Farley Hope, the leading lady in author Frankie Rose’s Hope Series. Her first book – Sovereign Hope debuts with a bang that will leave you waiting for the next instalment.

From the very first page, I was hooked by in the fast-paced action and series of events that Farley unwittingly finds herself in. She finds herself in the middle of where two worlds collide, and the journey de...more

I felt so privileged to be among the first to get a sneak peek at this book. Being a bit older than the intended audience (ahem) I wasn't sure if I'd be able to fully immerse myself in YA Land. And as you can probably tell from the books on my reading list, I'm not normally a big fantasy gal either.
But...this book sucked me in right from the start and kept me intrigued til the last page. The characters were so wonderfully rounded, and I really connected with both Farley and Daniel straight away....more

Sovereign Hope was just ravishing. I was completely electrified by the authentic story-line and tasteful romance. The writing style, the character build up, and the overall setting was just pure genius. What a wonderful debut novel and brilliant start in an exciting new series.

Farley Hope is a young girl trying to make sense of her life and solve the mysterious disappearance of her mother. She's a survivor; that's the only word that kept coming back to me throughout the story. Her strength is co...more

An under ground world that no one believes exists, sits another country, filled with four corners worth of different races of other people that are unlike any we have ever met or known about. Magic in all four places also has different societies that posess powers we have only seen in our dreams. What began as the search for Farley's mother, turns into something other-worldly, that speaks to her about whom she really is, why she was placed on this earth, and that she herself has seen the "ending...more

Farley Hope has been trying to get by with her life since her Mother turned up missing six months ago. But things are seeming hopeless especially with her hallucinations getting worse and now people are following her. When a stranger helps her, he turns her whole world upside down.

This is an interesting spin on immortals and a prophecy. You quickly find out that there is a prophecy regarding Farley but you never really know what else is going on. As frustrating as it was, it's also what kept me...more

Sovereign Hope was a great read, especially considering that my recent experiences with indie authors/free Kindle e-books haven't been that great. This is a series I am going to stick with, for sure, even if I had some issues with it.

First, I'm not the biggest fan of this writing. It wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but the third-person-view didn't really do it for me. Sure, this way it was easier to switch from one character's mind to another, but I don't feel like we gained that much more infor...more

The plot is strong and well-paced to keep the attention of the reader throughout the book. It provides some answers whilst still leaving you with something to look forward to in the next instalment. The characters well thought out and flawed enough to make them interesting. You get a sense that, in many ways, they are still kid’s dealing with something they should never to (regardless to how ‘old’ some of them may be).

Overall, I would say Sovereign Hope is a refreshing change to come current boo...more

Okay, so this book started out not too bad. The writing wasn't great but the story wasn't absolutely terrible. It was a little confusing, yes, but I figured, "just keep reading and it will all come together." Well, the more I read the more annoying the writing became. Once action started happening (she wasn't just pining for Daniel in the Hanger anymore) and she went to find out about her friend the book went downhill very, very fast. The writing.... I just want to know if there was an editor he...more

Let me begin by saying that I really liked this book. It's had a good plot that kept me intrigued and hooked till the end. Still, I felt like there was that missing, "umph" in the book. You get me?

Now, lets talk about this banging plot. I like it. I mean, I really like it!! This is one of those books that has a fresh plot that I never read before. Usually plots are all the same and over done. Not this one. Instead, it's inviting. After the first chapter, I was intrigued to keep reading. I enjoye...more

Sovereign Hope is an amazing book. Not only do I love the cover but the story was also very enjoyable and easy to read.

Frankie Rose was born in the United Kingdom, but now lives with her husband in sunny Australia.

She officially makes things up for a living, and when she's not doing that, she is generally making paper birds out of receipts and old lists or taking photographs that make her smile.

The term green with envy sprung to mind for some reason, though that wasn't the particular sin that burned through her when he locked her to the spot. Nope. That would be lust, her conscience whispered. She scowled. Was it possible for your own body to turn traitor on you? If it was, then hers most certainly had.” 12 people liked it
