Julia Joseph

I felt for Ouriel’s knife strapped at my back, and the weight of it steadied me. I knew now, without any doubt, I could use both weapons to kill in order save the people I loved."

The story was refreshingly unique, but some of the religious aspects of the book were problematic for me. I am a Christian, but I disagreed with some of the religious statements I felt the author was trying to make. However, the book was well-written, and the characters were very real. Despite my qualms, I'll probably read the sequel when it comes out.
