The story was refreshingly unique, but some of the religious aspects of the book were problematic for me. I am a Christian, but I disagreed with some of the religious statements I felt the author was trying to make. However, the book was well-written, and the characters were very real. Despite my qualms, I'll probably read the sequel when it comes out.

Interesting storyline, a tad bit short for my likely, but well worth the time. Not pleased that we need to wait a year before the next book in the series. Be interested to see what happens between Rose and Ouri.
