The Reader becomes The Bystander

Having read "Manhattan Affair" by the same author Jack Sussek, I was eager to read "Two Stories," with good reason. Sussek's narrative voice is transformative and descriptively transcendent, bringing the reader side by side on the street where "The Fight" takes place and into the mind of the protagonist in "This Killing Business."
