The syntax of the long sentences (which maximizes the use parentheses – and of emdashes, too – without in any way appearing programmatic or gratuitous) is beautiful.
It's hard to give these French experimental novels a rating, just as it is difficult to tell someone what the book is about. These books explore what the novel is and I thought The Grass was compelling look at novels, death, dying, meaning and meaninglessness but all with the subtlety of very astute analogies.

Tan maratónico como "EL INMORTAL" de Beckett o "KADDISH POR EL HIJO NO NACIDO" de Kertész, pero tan afracensado como esas persepciones juguetonas, pintorescas y musicales de la nouvelle-vague (desde donde proviene la novela).
