Pretty much everyone knows that I absolutely hated Juliet Immortal. Absolutely hated it. I did not like it in any way, shape or form in any freaking way whatsoever. But becuse I liked Romeo, I decided to pick up this book anyway. While it wasn't stellar, I'm extremely glad that I did. I genuinely enjoyed this one and while I still didn't love it, it was entertaining and I actually found that I was able to like the characters. It was fun although at times fr...more

“Romeo, Romeo. Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name.”

Epic loves story that points out flaws in one of the most star-crossed couples in history; Romeo Redeemed twisted the original one and filled it with love.

Romeo Redeemed picks up where Juliet Immortal left off. Setting in an alternative reality, this time Romeo takes the center stage, a lost lover who must save his soul from sins. We have already met Ariel in last book, whose body Juliet took over to accomplish her m...more

WOW! THIS STORY WAS INTENSE!!

4,5 stars

Romeo Redeemed picks right after Juliet Immortal.

This is Romeo's story, and this is his chance to redeem himself, of all the wrongdoings he commited as a member of the mercenaries...for those of you, who haven't read the first book, i will try to keep the explanations to a minimum. Imagine, that love, just like power, and money, is one of the greatest forces of the world...so great, that the loss of a single (but always important ) soul to the mercenaries,...more

This book was amazing! It did funny things to my heart. I really enjoyed Juliet Immortal, but one of my favourite things about it was Romeo, even though he was the villain in the first book. He was clearly a tortured soul, and they make the absolute best love interests! So I knew I would enjoy this one even more, and I did.

At first Romeo's assignment was just to make Ariel believe in love. It didnt matter whether or not he loved her...more

I think Stacey Jay put an interesting spin on your Shakespearean classic, but I honestly think she should have stopped after book 1.

While this book gave us a little more insight on Romeo and redeems him from our hatred, as well as gives us an explanation of how he came to be with Rosaline at the end of book 1, I think this book was inconsistent with a lot of what happened in the first book.

DO NOT READ THIS PART UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE FIRST BOOK.

I don't want to go into too much detail because I...more

Romeo truly believed he was doing Juliet a kindness when he decided to trick her into killing herself. He chose to grant her death instead of letting her live in poverty, shame, and exile with him. His actions, though wrong and evil, were born out of desperation, and he believed the friar’s lies that when Juliet died she would live a happy life in heaven. Romeo never thought Juliet’s soul would be tainted by so much anger and rage that she would never be at peace. Juliet’s pain and hate were th...more

Last year I fell in love with Juliet Immortal and so when I heard the author was releasing a sequel told from Romeo's point of view, I was extremely excited. I wanted to get into Romeo's head more and get his side of the story but while I enjoyed Romeo Redeemed, I didn't love it as much as the first book.

This time around we see Romeo living out his eternity alone and slowly rotting away. He killed the love of his life, Juliet and now he's paying for it. Well that is until he's given an opportuni...more

Nachdem Romeo den Zorn der Söldner auf sich gezogen hat, fristet er ein jämmerliches Dasein in einem langsam verwesenden Körper. Doch dann bekommt der eine letzte Chance von den Beschützern. Three and a half stars: Romance and redemption for Romeo.
Romeo is given one more chance after the dramatic conclusion of Juliet Immortal. He can switch sides and help the Ambassadors and possibly save his soul. All he has to do is convince Ariel to fall in love with him in three days time. For the handsome bad boy that shouldn't be a problem, right? He doesn't factor in that the Mercenaries will stop at nothing to prevent him from achieving his goal. He also doesn't count on actually falling hop...more

I'm giving a big credit to my English teacher when I was a Junior. She convinced me to read Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare though I never finished it. But the classic is great, I don't have a liter of doubt with that. So, I'm glad that someone created a newer version of it. Stacey Jay. Having read the first book which is Juliet Immortal, I've been looking forward for the sequel. And I am more than happy that Romeo's narrating the story. I love books with a boy's POV. The first book left me, us,...more

Lag vorher der F...more

When the ‘greatest love story ever told’ found a new path to take, readers were treated to Juliet Immortal. Now comes the sequel where readers find themselves standing by the side of Romeo, who has found himself buried inside a rotting corpse.

You see, Romeo was ‘taken in’ by a religious man and believed every word that was told to him - a ‘move’ that ended up ruining his life and killing his only love. This time around, however, an ‘Ambassador’ appears who offers Romeo a way out. All he has to...more

In the first book we learn that the tragic love story that is Romeo and Juliet is not what it seems, but instead a battle between good and evil. The Ambassador's and the Mercenaries as they fight for the power of true love and soul mates, in Juliet Immortal we follow in the foot steps of Juliet and learn about how horrid and evil Romeo is.

In this book, the second installment of the series it is Romeo's turn and the title says it all.

Where Romeo has a change of heart and realize that what he has...more

This is the sequel to Juliette Immortal. I really like both of these books. Based on the characters from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliette, the story is about how the two young lovers make good decisions and bad decisions and are manipulated in the name of both Good and Evil. You really must read Juliette Immortal first but in many ways this books will stand on it's own if you can just accept information without needing much in the way of background. This is not one of my favorite plays for many...more

After the mixed feelings I had for Juliet Immortal, I picked up its sequel, Romeo Redeemed, not entirely sure of what I was walking into. I liked the first book quite a bit—Juliet was a surprisingly strong, proactive character, and I enjoyed Jay’s prose. In the sequel, however, things didn’t work out nearly as well.

In Romeo Redeemed, the entire premise is that Romeo has to make a girl fall in love with him in less than three days so that his soul can be saved. I’m not at all sorry to say that I...more

Another generous rating of 3 stars. More like 2.5 stars, but they just didn't give that half-star option on goodreads. Not as good as Juliet Immortal. I somewhat enjoyed the Juliet Immortal ending. But where Romeo Redeemed picked up, I got confused. I'm assuming, from what I read, the choices made at the end of the first book regarding Romeo somehow changed what would happen to Juliet. Not all of it made sense.
Ariel was extremely annoying to me. Her back and forth between hate and love were huge...more

Oh. My. Goodness. What a mess. I thought Juliet Immortal was torturous but wait till you read Romeo Redeemed. I have no words for the fantasy the author created. It's brilliant in a way, but if you think too much about the hows & whys, it gives you a headache. I don't know if I should applaud for the imagination or simply hate it. It was a little too much to handle.

Romeo Redeemed is better than Juliet Immortal in many aspects. The characters were much clear,...more

After all that I’ve read with these books, how is it that I can still find Romeo so swoonworthy?

Cover Story
This cover makes me want to hide my head in shame. I’m so glad I was reading this on my Nook because there is no way I could have taken this cover out in public. Bodice ripper romance, anyone? The title is fitting since, well, Romeo redeems himself in this novel...more

I wished this book could have measured up to Juliet Immortal. I have to say I was a little disappointed with this one. I really like Romeo's character in Juliet Immortal which is why I had higher expectations for this book. I didn't really connect with Romeo and his "mission" in this book like I did with Juliet and her mission in book 1. The plot kind of felt flat. There wasn't really any conflict except at the very end. I'm still kind of confused about the hearts of people like Ariel who the Am...more

I have a thing for bad boys. What can I say? Even though Romeo was the "villain" of Juliet Immortal I had a soft spot for him, so I couldn't wait when I heard he was getting his own book. I really enjoyed the world in which Stacey created. I have to admit it was a bit confusing at times but by the end the pieces fit together nicely. I think I even enjoyed this one a bit better than the first one.

I received and ARC of this novel by Stacey Jay(due out in October), and even though I haven't read the first book in the series, I was able to dive in with ease.

Romeo cursed himself to darkness when he murdered Juliet centuries ago, but now he has another chance. If he can woo Ariel and convince her to love him in just three days, his soul will be pulled into the light. He will no longer serve the repulsive Mercenaries, but he will earn a chance to work as an Ambassador, defending love eternally...more

Overall, I really liked this book. I had read Juliet Immortal and had thought it a simple, fun read, so I figured I would like this one, too. When it came out, I started to worry...I wasn't a huge fan of the cover art. I thought it looked pretty cheesy. The story picked up pretty quickly, and I really enjoyed it. Jay writes much better as Romeo, and he is an intriguing character indeed. I also really liked the character of Ariel. I was much more invested in their relationship than in that of Jul...more

I really did not enjoy the first of the series, Juliet Immortal. Juliet was such an unsympathetic character and I really did not like her--at all. But I did finish it, so I guess I'm a glutton for torture. And reading the ending, I was intrigued by where Romeo was left. I wanted to know what was going to happen to him, though I wasn't so sure I wanted him to be redeemed.

This book was much better than the first, though I think most of that is because Juliet wasn't in it much. Romeo did grow on me...more

Things were a lot clearer in this book than in it's prequel. but not by much. I'm assuming that the other Juliet in the other dimension also got her happy ending with Benvolio, or that her ending with Benvolio was edited out for this one. Personally, I prefer this one, other than the absolute lack of Ben/Benvolio. For such a massive character in the first book, he is practically none existent in this one. Which, yes, it is Romeo's story this time, but Juliet was still in it? My main compliant is...more

Romeo's reimagining worked just as well for me as Juliet's did, though I confess I still loved JULIET IMMORTAL a little more. One reason: the Juliet portions of this novel were confusing to me at first, especially because the worlds and stories change from the first novel to the next, and it takes some effort to keep everything straight. And while it all made sense in the end, that distracted me slightly at the beginning.

Having said that, I found Stacey Jay's writing this time to be just as brea...more

I really did enjoy this book, and truly felt that Romeo was redeemed. I did have a few problems with the book but they weren't too bad. Not enough to make me dislike the book. I'll tell them to you and spoilers.
(view spoiler)[ I didn't like that they repeated the exact chapters from end of Juliet immortal. That wasn't that big of a deal because I could just breeze right past it. The next thing that I didn't like was the fact that Ben wasn't even around until the end of the book, Instead of at th...more

The companion to Juliet Immortal is just as fantastic as its predecessor. This book is told from the views of both Romeo and Ariel, who was a central character in the first book. Romeo, cursed and left for worse than death, is given a second chance to redeem himself by becoming an Ambassador like Juliet. His task is to get Ariel to believe in love before she can become a force for evil. At first, Romeo is sure he can win her over just like he won Juliet over so many years ago, but by the end, a...more
