I honestly can't say how much I love this book. I don't think I've ever been more satisfied with a series conclusion then I have with this book. It left just enough enough to the imagination> I hate books where I'm left asking "Why'd this or that happen?" "Where did this character go?" and so on and so forth. Thank God this didn't happen in the book. So I'll say it again, I LOVE THIS BOOK! And I'm gonna try my best not to give anything away.

Ryan is one of my favorite heroines ever. I love that even though she loves both Vane and Matt, she doesn't let them hold her hand and lead her through it. She is even more kick but in this book then she was in the last two, and it was awesome. I still want Grey to be my brother. No matter what happened Ryan and the reader knew they could depend on Grey. And Matt and Vane didn't disappoint. They are still the boys that any I couldn't decide if I can't stand them or if I loved them. Vane was still cocky and well himself. Really the only way to describe Vane is Vane. He was a truly original character. I don't think I've ever read a male lead like him before.I loved and I hated hi, and that made me love him even more. Did I not make sense? Read this series and you'll understand. And Matt. I loved him.... and I hated him. If there were ever to male lead characters true to life, it would be these two. I could see myself meeting them on the street. Anyways, Matt was definitely one of the ones I wanted to take in and comfort, he had such a bad lot in life.

Right from the get go this book dives into action. I was literally hooked from the first line and couldn't do anything but finish the book. I will tell you I loved the flashbacks (but who's flashbacks? read the book and find out). I would suggest this book to anyone. And where should you read this? Oh how about in the sun. I don't know why I think this but I do so just go with it.

I was in no way bribed for this review. This book was given to me by the Author for an honest review..

CHEERS for the Author's brilliant imagination. A mixture of Greek Myth, Arthurian Legend & Astronomy. What an amazing concept! This novel has taken me to a wonderful adventure...an adventure that got me lost from time to time so I had to retrace my steps.

I have never been so completely disgusted and fed up with a heroine since twilight. Talk about never sticking to her beliefs. I've lost count of how many times she decided to not be a COMPLETE fool but her backbone just flew out the window where Vane is concerned. Seriously I have no problem with Vane or Matt because they were both true to their character to the very end. Even though I was on Team Matt or...more I don't even have the strength to organize my thoughts into words after reading this book. Ryan, Ryan. Reading this in your point of view ~~made me want to blow my brains out~~ was a really trying task, I give you that. Not to mention the fact that you traded Matt's magic without even thinking about what that means for Matt. That mess could be overlooked if you even stopped to apologize just once and acknowledge the fact that being magical is like a part of Merlin. So she basically ripped out a part of him and didn't even care. Then she had the nerve to say if Matt really loved her he would have forgiven her... when she practically already chose Vane. Sometimes I think Ryan is a humongous masochist because I seem to remember Vane being quite abusive in past books. So basically she's not only ridiculously dumb but also potentially harmful to herself!

Then on that bloody road trip with Merlin, that she was specifically NOT invited to by the way, she had the audacity to even suggest that Matt should loosen up and see the sights when he was bloody well trying to save the world. Then, she started ranting on about how Merlin doesn't trust people and actually used those guys on the plane as an example. In case you didn't notice honey, they shouldn't have been trusted. Then when she found out Merlin was smart enough to lie she got pissed because he was just protecting the mission. Obviously Matt wouldn't trust you if you lose your will every time Vane doesn't even breathe the same air.

Ryan is just the most selfish heroine I've ever had the displeasure to meet. At the end where she wanted to go to school so badly ~~what the hell was up with that~~ and just ended up making out with Vane but got caught by Merlin, I don't really remember scenes properly because I'm trying to wipe this book from my memory, but for some inane reason she didn't want to help him with something that could potentially save the world just because she was mad at him! Cue the groans and head-thumping. And her whole deal with Excalibur. She didn't want to wield it but she also didn't want anyone else to wield it. Classic. At least Gia had the sense to not be entirely buddy-buddy with her unlike Ryan's brother, what's-his-name. What the hell was up with that part where he was mad at Matt in the hospital room when Vane was the one who actually chomped down on his sister? Oh right, he was mad that Matt put her in danger. Did I fail to mention that Ryan sneaked into the plane, like a bloody ninja apparently, even though Matt REALLY didn't want her to come? Must have slipped my mind.

For some reason I feel that the author didn't really like Ryan because Matt sometimes voiced my thoughts out, by pointing out her stupidity which Ryan blithely ignored. Must be why I like Matt so much. This book would have been readable because the writer had some interesting plot points. Too bad it was constantly overshadowed by Ryan's lack of brains. I'm kind of hoping the writer would write a new story with even better titles for Matt. Oh and this title was so misleading :( Although I think the author realized that Vane was the more popular vote so she changed up the whole story to somehow gain a little sympathy for Vane even though from the title alone anyone would have thought she would end up with Merlin? Whatever. So this is as far as I've managed to rant. Farewell, Ryan! I hope we never meet again.(less)

Maybe 2.5…? If I’m really generous! Yeah, I’m not a big fan of this one. I had to force myself to finish it--it really felt like work much more than pleasure in the end :(

I have always liked the action/adventure/mythology in these books, but this one just didn’t cut it for me. A lot of the plot either confused me or annoyed me. I love the My Merlin series so much! It is one of my favorite series based on a legend that I have ever read. The world that Priya Ardis creates is incredible. Fans of King Arthur and Merlin need to read this series.

The third book in the series was great. There was quite a bit of focus on mythology, history, and legends, which was interesting. The adventure took these characters from one end of the globe to the other. The battle intensifies and Ryan finds herself not only in the heat of the battle, but also straddling the line of allegiance between two brothers. You can't help but love both of these brothers, and both of these brothers love Ryan, each in their own way. Vane, super hot, bad, mysterious, intense, possessive, and sometimes a little scary, yet he is always there for her. Merlin is generally the calmer and more rational brother, or is he? Merlin has many of his own secrets and trust issues, as does Vane. He to is really hot, but also more rational. The action is intense, heavily rooted in magic and fantasy, which was really exciting. The romance is hot, When faced with losing both brothers, Ryan does what she feels necessary to save them both. In the end, she chooses the brother that I wanted her to choose, but my heart really hurt for the other. On that note, Priya Ardis did an excellent job of ending this series, which is so important in my opinion. The modern day feel of this classic story set in a YA background was so entertaining, and though intense, there was enough humor to keep you from feeling overwhelmed. If you are a lover of romance, mythology, and fantasy, then this is one series you will definitely want to check out. I really loved it and highly recommend it.

I regret the time I got to read this.
Well. It wasn't THAT bad. The fact remains that I was urged to finish the whole series testifies that these books were "entertaining". Quite.

Let's make a list of pros and cons of the series, shall we?

-I can put up with it to the end. [though with groans and complaints from time to time]
-The romance is tolerably sweet. If not typical.

Ok I am so happy with the ending. Yes i skipped around near the end because I was so anxious about who she would end up with and how it would all play out. I was most happy that the two of them at the end FINALLY trusted each other enough to put aside all the grief and openly choose the other. The glimpses of memories were perfectly inserted to cause my heart to sympathize with both guys. A satisfying conclusion to the Merlin trilogy. Merlin, Vane, and Ryan all struggle to save the world in their own ways, butting heads along the way as expected. To some extent, all the plots and counter-plots are convoluted and annoying (just once, you'd like something to be as it seems, I guess), and Ryan basically gets yanked back and forth like a favorite chew toy until the very end, but even so there are really good moments along the way.

The story was all over the place--from Arthurian Legend to Greek Mythology to Astronomy, et. al. It was great how the author combined everything into one. I must give the writer a credit with her great imagination. I enjoyed reading book 1 and 2. I struggled on this book. I was a bit overwhelmed with the details. I had to drop my reader several times just to ease up my prickling headaches. Sad to say, I could not stand the heroine in this story. She was indecisive and easily manipulated by Vane....more

I really did enjoy this series, and this last book is pretty much action all the way through. More than anything, I wanted to see who Ryan would end up with because I actually liked both of the brothers for different reasons. Although it wasn't quite the ending I would have chosen, I can see why the author did it, and it worked well.

Ever my Merlin is the last in this series and it has so many twists and turns at times I found it hard to keep up. But I got through it by generally just going with it and accepting whatever else i found complicated. The twists of Greek mythology and Autharian mythology was brilliant, I won't bore you with the details as there are so many thinga and names i'd probably just confuse you all...and myself.

Action-wise there was never really a dull moment, stuff was always going on. Ryan went through a load of shit in this book and in the end she proved herself to be a true warrior and risk taker.

The romance had me on edge, but I think I always knew who she would end up with, which was actully interesting as the one she picked isn't the most likely or the most conventional. So props to Ardis for changing things up a bit in that regard. Although at times I thought there was a lot of back and forth. I wish I could have seen more of Vane and Ryan together, they are so sexy and heart warming at the same time. Even though I was always more of a Vane fan I couldn't help but feel awful for Matt/Merlin when he lost Ryan to his older brother. But I do think that Vane was the better choice for Ryan, he loved her more, and she was in love with him more really. They had more chemistry...plus im a bad boy lover, and Vane was a true badass with secret goodness that only Ryan could see. Seeing Vane's POV/Memories was great too, we got to see what tore the brothers apart and what Vane went through which was horriffic.

I ended up waniting the brother to make up more than anything else, it is obvious they love eachother in this book. But to be honest I felt more could have been done with the brothers, especially with regards to their reuniting and beginning to trust eachother again. Also the side characters never really got a proper ending, i still want to know what happened to them officially, i guess i'll just have to make it up in my head...because im that obssessed obviously ;). But apart from that I loved it all very much, I would recomend this series to lovers of adventure, mythology, fantasy and romance. xxx(less)

Maybe it's just me, but sometimes (or everytime) something super important (be it, super- secretive, -hint finding, -explaining, -finding THE one solution, -who's bad/who's not) happens, I was basically confused as hell.
So I dragged myself through the few drama pages and then after reading on I saw what's new to the story and lived with it..
Concerned by this slight problem was also my understanding of the characters and their actions (yeah, hello MATT, Ryan & Vane!)...

I am a huge fan of the My Merlin series so it's safe to say that I was mega excited to read the final chapter in Ryan, Vane and Matt's story. The final book in the trilogy sees Ryan in a race against time to prevent the destruction of the earth. The story is action packed from the start and it kept me reading well into the night!

A timely read for the hyped 'end of the world'
I was speechless when I finished this...

PLOT: The story continues directly from My Merlin Awakening. Matt, Vane, Ryan and the gang are trying to save the entire human race from the end of the world. the story revolves on how choices and making the right one would save them ALL and not selected people only.

What an interesting series! And such an easy read too! The last book I read was The Book of Paul which was amazing but intensely heavy (not in a bad way) so I picked this up and was amazed with how fast the story started and flew by! You definitely need to read this series in order. Although you may be able to pick up what is going on in each without the previous it will be much smoother if...more eries review!!! And each goes so fast that you won’t even know you’ve read three books!

And speaking of the reading, the plot is really good. I don’t know a lot about King Arthur but this did seem to at least start from that story but it is a storyline all its own. Totally modern day wizards which I thought lent a really cool atmosphere to our little normal world.

The characters are a lot of fun. I think Ryan is my favorite but I do love a good heroine. She has gone through a lot but doesn’t let life or anything else stand in her way. Even when you think she’s done for she has a strength, sometimes lent to her by the two other main characters, Matt and Vane, but she always finds it within her to fight, no matter what the odds.

The two vying for her love are Matt (THE Merlin) and Vivane. I’m not really sure if I want her with either guy! This reminds me of Sophie’s Turn where both guys could be good for her and who doesn’t like a great bad boy but are either really good for her?!! I have to say I did like how it turned out but it could have gone either way. My poor heart was leaning one way one minute and then turning into a traitor the next. Both have pluses and minues but if you’ve read any of my other reviews on bad boys, you’ll know my personal fav was pretty much always Vane.

And Vane is a great character. I like Merlin and all but he seems so uppity to me, not really in a bad way but he holds so much back from Ryan that he really shouldn’t. He is trying to protect her and over and over again she gets upset with him because of it. And then there’s Vane. You never really know if he’s a bad guy or a good guy. I do know he’s a great character that I absolutely loved!

Overall, this is candy! I really needed this after a very busy week too! Trilogy about the paranormal with lots of romance! Who doesn’t like that?!! Oh and I have to add, Priya does SUCH A great job at ending these books. I had to do that fan your eyes thing and pretend I just got something in my eye when my hubby was looking!(less)

I'm sad to see this series end but I liked the way Priya Ardis ended it so I can't complain.

I have truly fallen in love with these characters. They have so much life and fit so well within the story. I'm truly truly sad to say goodbye to them.

Now that the most burning question is out of the way, let’s take a closer look at the final book in the My Merlin series.

Picking up where things left off in My Merlin Awakening, champion Arriane (aka Ryan) and wizard Merlin (aka Matt) have met up with multiple wizards to try to minimize damage from the earthquakes and tsunamis ripping across Earth as a result of Vane (Matt’s brother and Ryan’s ex) becoming The Fisher King. The day of reckoning is at hand and the fate of Earth itself lies in the balance. As Ryan uncovers more of Matt’s secrets and learns more about Vane’s past, she finds herself torn between the brothers and has to decide which one to trust…and which must be sacrificed.

As I started reading Ever My Merlin I had no idea where the story would lead. I knew Ryan, as the wielder of Excalibur, was going to need to make a choice but I was amazed at how everything played out. The twists and turns were everywhere, with action and heartbreak scattered throughout. At the center of everything was the love triangle of Ryan, Matt and Vane. I was shocked, I was surprised, and I was moved by this story and the choice that Ryan ultimately made. When the dust settled, Ryan was with the brother she truly loved – and the other was left watching regretfully from the shadows as he prepared to move on. Nothing happened the way I expected and yet it all seemed right – the right choice was made and the right brother was matched with Ryan.

Pacing was excellent; there was so much going on that the story moved swiftly and engagingly. A nice touch this time around were the detailed flashbacks to Vane’s life, which showed how much he loved his brother Merlin and the events that led to their separation and reunion during the rise of King Arthur. Some extremely important points were covered in the flashbacks and when those were mixed with the actions of Vane and Matt/Merlin in the present I found my allegiances shifting. Like Ryan I was torn between the brothers, and when she made her final choice between them I couldn’t disagree with it. This was a well-balanced love triangle that was handled expertly by Ardis.

The emphasis on myths and legends that are such a part of the My Merlin series continues to build in Ever My Merlin, such as Ryan stowing away on Matt’s quest for the Healing Cup – mirroring the Knights of the Round Table and their Grail quest. Camelot, Elysium and the battle of Carthage all make an appearance and become turning points for various characters. Even the Roman gods and goddesses play their part and set Merlin and Vane on the paths that lead to Ryan and the destruction – or survival – of Earth. All of this is woven seamlessly through the narrative and propels the story along.

I had just a couple nitpicks with the book. First was the sudden death of a secondary character I loved, which felt like it was more for the shock value than integral to the story. Ardis has never shied from killing off characters quickly (as demonstrated by the very first death in book one, My Boyfriend Merlin), but for some reason this one felt like it was almost too much. Secondly, the explosive finale – while very exciting – seemed cluttered and confusing. I’m still a bit unclear about the physics/magic behind the choice Ryan made and the sudden side-trip to Elysium she made with Vane and Matt, but at least the results of both were nice and clear. None of this was enough to knock my rating any lower than 4 stars, however.

In the exciting conclusion to Priya Ardis’s My Merlin series, destiny and love collide in a story that pits brother against brother and leaves an 18-year-old girl to determine the fate of Earth itself. Filled with action, romance, magic and legend, Ever My Merlin ends the trilogy on a high note as Camelot is found, Excalibur continues its journey, and we are left to wonder what fantastical quest Priya Ardis will take us on next.(less)

My Thoughts: WOW! What a roller coaster ride!

This installment is a total and complete race against time to save the world as we know it. Matt, as usual, thinks he has all the answers. But his judgement is clouded by his jealousy and anger. Ryan, thankfully, is the voice of reason, and is able to perceive things that Matt just can’t bring himself to see. Vane, meanwhile, remains his rather arrogant self…arrogant or not, his love has no bounds where Ryan is concerned.

Priya Ardis has written a very satisfying conclusion to a wonderful story that had something for everyone! Yes, there is an element of romance, but there is so much more. Global, cataclysmic events, duels, history, mythology, at one time I felt like I was reading an episode of “The Amazing Race”, and the prize at the end was saving the world and it’s inhabitants. Ardis has a wonderful voice and her attention to detail as well as history is amazing! I can’t recommend this story enough to everyone, but especially to those who love anything having to do with magic, Camelot, fantasy, history, and mythology! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you Priya Ardis for a wonderful series that is now an all-time favorite! I look forward to re-visiting Matt, Ryan, and Vane many times in the years to come…and I will be anxiously awaiting whatever you choose to write in the future…Yours Truly, a Forever Fan!

I still love the characters and the story contains many twists. I also like the pace of the novel, and I would be pleased to read more from this author. However, there are more mistakes in this book than the first two. In her acknowledgements the author mentions an editor. Did this editor read another book? I found several missed words, and twice a whole sentence was repeated. several times words were repeated straight after one another. This is a shame as the books are a great read.

What a great ending to the story, seriously! In the middle it dragged on a little bit, but it got all the better again! The story ended just how I wanted it to, so I'm more than happy about that!!! Sad to see them all go now though but thank you for creating such a beautiful story overall!

AHHHHHHH!!!! A GREAT ENDING!!!! Of course I was hurt because it was the ending of another one of my favorite book but I loved how Mrs. Priya gave us the "happy ever after" at the end. Hate that it had to end but I'm happy to know how everything turns out!!!

I really like the first two books in the series but I can't say that its the same for this third one. I'm beginning to understand why Vivane did what he did but I can't say I can condone for what he did, so I can't say I started to like him or not AND I finally ACTUALLY hate Ryan in this book due to her being indecisive who she really loved in the beginning of the book. It made both Vane and Matt suffered AND me confuse.
The ENDING SUCKS (*with a GIANT capital S*). The ending...more

I actually screamed at excitement at the end of the book! So often it feels like authors make great story lines, but then get scared and the endings are weak. This book was completely fulfilling! The blending of the historic King Arthur myths, greek and roman history, and modern day ideas and gadgets actually was able to be woven into a page turning adventure. Magic and love didn't overpower the true themes of of the book, family and the consequences of choice.

So intense! As the last book, I definitely had a lot of expectations and pre-conceived notions about what should happen. Ardis shook these up. She actually had me wavering about who Ryan should choose: Vane or Matt. Ryan spends more time with Matt here which is fun. And Vane's become more Vane than ever, but we get some insight into his past and learn what makes him tick.

But more than the romance, there's all the fun adventure that makes this series great. Ryan hunts for archeological clues in...more

Too much happens in this final book goodys are baddies then they are good again! Think it should've been another 2 books to get it all in without feeling crammed!! I still enjoyed it but not as much as the other 2 :(
