This was my favorite book in the Jewel Trilogy. First meeting Sarah as a young girl in Sapphire Ice, she grows up separated from her sisters due to their circumstances. By the time we reach Sarah's story in this book, she is a nice and polite, but comes across as very shallow when she (re)meets Derrick, whose background is very different from hers. Robin, Maxine, and Sarah are introduced in Sapphire Ice as three young women working hard to overcome a background of fear, deprivation, and neglect, raised by a drug addicted mother. Topaz Heat is the last of the Jewel series and I have to say that I am sorry to have the series come to an end. I got to reading this book one evening and really should have gone to sleep, but I HAD to stay awake and finish the book. I ended up staying up for 2 hours longer than I should have to finish this great book.
I have loved every single one of these books. These books are so well written that the story is hard to put down, but behind that is the best part of the book which is the true understanding of God's love that comes through and tugs at your heart to really analyze your own beliefs.
Excellent blend of romance and suspense. More realistic than most inspirational romances. I loved the whole series.
The crowning conclusion to the Jewel Trilogy doesn't disappoint, unless you count the fact that the Trilogy is over.

Another great book by my very favorite Author. I am so bummed this trilogy is over. I'm definitely looking forward to whatever Hallee will have coming out in the future.
