I felt it best not to rate this book.
I want to start with a positive. This book is a sci-fantasy/paranormal book. The world building in Maithe's Surrender was of quite a high standard. The descriptions of Solindira were in depth and the country's spiritual lexicon and beginnings were outlined well. The character's looks and clothing, once again, very in depth and also outlined well.

Since I’m used to the Siren Publishing production, I’m not surprised about the tone of this fantasy novel: it’s a little bloody, very much erotic, and not really politically correct. Even if used and abused, Maithe is not a victim: an Halfling demon, his breed is condemned to servitude to the human race, but Maithe is “special”, he has more demon blood in his body than other halflings and as such, he is entitled to be owned only by royalty. I would give this book 2.5 stars if I could. The author has created an interesting world and the book is generally well written. There was too much happening in the novel for its short length. I felt the characters lacked depth and found it hard to relate to them. The sentence structure and syntax were odd in places, making it harder to read these sections. Additionally, it was distracting how the main character was referred to by so many different titles rather than his name - cherub, faux cher...more
i loved this book. i'm actually hoping for a sequel since i want to know what has become of our brave heroes Maithe and Astle.
