3.5 stars for this book. I ended up really liking it in the second half. It started slow and a bit tedious with the whole non-verbal communication thing, but after I became invested in Grant (Stone) and Evie's relationship I needed to know what developed and how their friends and family played into the story. Loved the song at the end **melted heart**

Well this was an interesting read. It's about teenagers at college. But it is an adult read IMO, as there are explicit sex scenes. Even some mild BDSM. Evie arrives for her first day at college, with no one to help her with her luggage. As none of her multitude of brothers and sisters had offered to go with her either as help, or moral support. So Evie is struggling with her luggage when a guy approaches and just picks up her cases and takes them to her room, without uttering a word.

Oh wow. This book was almost really good. When I first started reading it I was expecting a cross between "Thoughtless" and "Beautiful Disaster" and it kind of was like that just nowhere near as good as those two. You know, this book really surprised me.
Not that I wasn’t expecting it wouldn’t be good, but I wasn’t expecting that it would be so freakin hilarious. I laughed out loud at so many parts. So fun.
I don’t think this book is well known. Apparently it used to be a fanfic. But this one was highly recommended in Maryse’s facebook page. And boy, I really had a good time reading it.
Well so first of all, for me this book kind of had all the important elements in contemporary romance. Intense emotions, funny and steamy moments, great characters and of course a very good alpha male. Well see? I was totally hooked.

So what this is about?
This one is set in Australia (a good change), and it’s about a Evie (17). New girl at some art College. She’s extremely shy, (I must say that I was annoyed at how much she blushed), and also she’s not that talkative too. So yeah, at first I wasn’t really happy with all that, it kind of frustrated me. But when we meet Stone(19) we kind of understand why her character is like that. Because see? Stone would never work out with a girl who is his opposite. You know why?! Well while Stone is scary, intimidating, protective, possessive and actually very much attentive, gentleman and even sweet he’s also kind of mute (not just with her, but with everybody). It’s not that he can’t speak, he just doesn’t. It’s like he’s a man of action and not words. When I started this book, I already knew about it so it didn’t bother me, but if I didn’t I would have thought this very strange. But I did, and it was very funny. I never saw something like that and it was refreshing to say the least. Well so, Stone is also the drummer of this metal and local band, and actually all the members are at the same college. So that’s how Evie meets him. In her first day at college they see each other and stare for a long time, then he stands up in all his 6’8 and strides toward her to pick up her luggage and carry it to her room and then leaving her at her door without ever saying a word. Weird huh?! That’s what she thinks.
And then she also became friends with all the band (Donny, Jamie, Alec, Stone and Fredi) and some other people. And let me tell you, they are great! I loved every single one of them. Obviously in the band my favorite was Donny, so funny and charming. But my favorite character was Briar. Wow! that girl is awesome. And she’s also Stone’s best friend, but she’s not in the band.

So well while we have this main romance between Evie and Stone there is still the others story, and it was also very good. Fredi (yeah, she’s a girl) and Donny was so explosive. And Alec and Briar was so sweet. I was rooting for all of them, almost as much as for Stone and Evie.
But you know, Stone and Evie is kind of a different couple, I mean they are more about action (yeah that’s exactly what you are thinking) than words. And that’s why they start to get issues in their relationship. They don’t really know much about each other. Stone don’t ask, and she thinks he’s not really interested and since he doesn’t speak about himself and she thinks she’s not his girlfriend she feels like she doesn’t need to talk about herself either. And that’s the problem, because well the thing is, Evie has eleven siblings and nine of them are brothers (shocked?) LOL. But any of her friends and even Stone knows about it (not that this is a secret, she just never clarifies) when they call or visit her. So obviously they start to think they’re her non boyfriends. But she’s clueless and doesn’t understand what is going on. LOL This whole sibling’s thing is hilarious. So I’m just gonna stop here, because I already said too much.

This was very nice. And let me tell you, there is nothing about YA in this book, actually on the contrary. So if you’re worried thinking this is just one more tame book, don’t, because it’s not. There’s a lot of steamy and graphic scenes. Lots and lots of sex. ;)
I don’t know if Stone is up there with all that other guys previously mentioned, because since he doesn’t speak much, e couldn’t really melt me with words, it was more about action and the others was about both of it. But you know, the sweet moments between them speaks volumes, because that’s how he shows her how much he cares about her. And that was so good.
Although I must say that sometimes she got on my nerves, she’s clueless but at the same time it’s nice that she doesn’t let him bossy her around.

So yeah, I recommend this one too. I really had a good time, and I’m anxious to read what Chelle Mitchiter wrote about his POV. ;)

Evelyn, our herione of the book is a total doormat and pushover. Her mousy character (at least in the beginning of the book) is the only reason why this storyline can work, otherwise any other girl would have Grant arrested so fast he couldn't blink, or have the huge misunderstanding straightened up in no time. I find myself getting pretty irritated with her throughout, as I'm not into doormat types, though once she showed some backbone, I again got irritated with her for her actions. Though I keep reminding myself that all characters here are just really teenagers so they'd have a different mentality than ancient me...I still do not get why she's never told him about the brothers especially after she found out his jealousy, it just seem mean for her to stew about that for so long knowing he's suffering, not to mention her pot calling the kettle black. I'm especially annoyed with her denial that they're a couple, considering how much time he spent with her (not just in bed, but he also went with her to places and studied with her at night). Her saying they're fuckbuddies makes her totally callous and I feel real bad for Grant considering you can tell how much he is into her and also thought how settled they're as a couple.

Even though we didn't have much input from Grant, I still adore him solely from his actions throughout the book (yup this is definitely not a man of words but actions and his actions (ok, most of them, anyways)are really way way sweet) and from our own romantic inference from these actions (yup definitely rose-tainted here). I adore how he finally got his arse to make a move, and how he started slowly to chip off bit by bit her fear and reservations and gained her trust ultimately.

Besides the fascinating main storyline, I absolutely love all chaos of the schoolmates and Evelyn's family, every single loony and wacky one of them.

I know this is a self-published work, and I totally admire the author for writing this brilliant story. She's also spent a lot of efforts on her website (there's actually a section where she used to post Stone's POV in the early chapters of the book as well as bits and pieces of their future that I totally enjoy reading, knowing they're doing ok and sappily happy, and that he indeed has spoken up more hahaha). I also heard that she's now doing some editing for this book so it can be published (yay!)

That being said, this is more of a wish list for her reworked version. I think it'll be cool if we get a Stone version (man he really needs one as we don't know what he thinks most times as he doesn't talk besides using his eyes and we only got what he said via Evelyn's POV). I also hope that there is also a deeper reason why Grant is not inclined to talk much. Evelyn needs work also, I cannot understand how she can get a whole new wardrobe of clothes on charity without a thought, seems just real shallow and golddigging to me. Also don't get why she's ok to wear all those slutty wear if she doesn't want to in the first place, knowing it'll piss off her man in the second, and last not like she's planning on getting herself another man...There's also matter of the great misunderstanding, it just doesn't make a lick of sense for her not to do some fast explanation once she found out, if she likes Grant, she'd have make an effort instead of him doing all the moves seriously (ok I need to stop the ranting)...Also though the idea of the song wooing is way cool, I think the lyrics needs some work, it could have been more poignant than it was.

All in all though, I had a great time reading this, especially considering this is all the effort of the author alone, doing this for pleasure. I wish we can read more of her work, published, in future and all the best.(less)

Five stars for originality! Her 11 brothers *swoons* This was one unique read.. and that's why I LOVED it.. At first I was a little taken aback by Grant aka Stone.. Where to begin with this book it was awesome. I fricken loved it i couldn't put it down.. Yes it did start off slow and took forever to get to the good stuff but the way the author wrote made me just keep reading until the void was filled where it got to the nitty gritty.

sooo...like I said..Evie was annoying little mouse at first..with her whispering..and ''he is not my boyfriend''...I wont spoil much..at the end of the book I liked her a little better..

Stone...omg...he is f***** mute...I could stand his bossines..and overprotectivnes..if he would only speak..why have the caracter who speaks with grunts and growls and his eyes...

This book really engulfed me. I didn't realize it until I finished at 2am in the morning. This surprised me because I was unnerved by the Evie and Stone but yet I had to keep going. Stone and Evie meet and the next thing you know , sparks are flying , but there's bound to be trouble right ? The trouble comes in the form of , lack of communication both from Evie and Stone . A relationship that isn't properly defined cant sustain for a long time , can it ? That's exactly what starts to happen , amidst all the HOT AND HEAVY sex , the clubbing and partying , questions still loom and linger , questions that will stir up issues between them , that will force them apart . Will Evie and Stone be able to fix the damages in time or will it be too late ? Read the book and find out .

There were a lot of things that I loved about this book . And then there were some I didn't . First off , seriously what is up with that cover ??? With a name so beautiful and intriguing , the cover could have got a better job done . Also , the story seemed to stretch a little more than required at times . The secondary characters were AMAZING ! They had their own stories that provided a perfect insight into relationships , the way teenagers look at it . Donny , Fredi , Briar , Alec , Candy , Mason and Evie's siblings were all a fun to read about .

Evie and Stone's relationship is definitely the high point of this book . God , they were burning up the pages with their steaminess . Also , this book is not a YA ! Its a Mature YA or New Adult as they are called these days . The sex is way too descriptive and graphic for a YA read ! The high point of this book mostly was the whole lack of communication between Evie and Stone . Stone would just let his eyes and body do the talking . Not that it was a bad thing or anything , I take a man with those skills any day , but lets face it , YOU GOTS TO TALK , at some point atleast !!! The ending was just PERFECT ! If you've loves stories like Beautiful Disaster , thoughtless and Easy , you are sure to like this one .

Sweet , funny , Simple and Charming the story will definitely leave a smile on your face .

The story was not bad, keeps you wanting to know what will happen to Stone & Evie's relationship given the personality of Stone. I was really looking forward to an intense "lack of communication" issue since they mostly talk with their eyes and it never fails me. A page turner, and even though there are a lot of characters in the story, their side story is still interesting. I loved this Book Loved Evelyn and how shy she was, and how much by the the end of the book she was able to find her voice. *sighs* holy cow what can I say about Stone? He was sweet and very hard not to fall in love with the guy, for such a big guy, he was soft and very gentle with Eve. For how he never really talked I wish that Chelle did a POV for both Evelyn and Stone, just so we could have been able to get to know him a lil better. This book needed my patience because Evie at certain points pissed me off. I don't care what anyone says you say no it means no and allowing someone to touch you is ridiculous.
Also, she is judgmental and allowing her decisions to affect her without facts are shallow. I thought she was quick to be angry when she is guilty of the same thing.
Stone seemed overbearing and protective.

Overall I liked it and loved the characters. They were well developed and the chemistry blew my mind.

There is strong and silent type, then there is mute. Stone very nearly touched the latter. Never known a man who can talk be as miser with words as he !!
Evelyn seemed shady to me. Being her character introduced as a shy and good girl, she seemed quite a diff girl from deep inside. She even let her rich friends buy her things repeatedly ! Could only show backbone for it once, that too on nothing more than 3 shakes $4 each.

I'm actually surprised I liked this one! Even as I was reading it :)
It takes some getting used to Stone's mute behavior, and normally alpha-males who only ever grunts makes me annoyed.. but for some reason it worked in this story.. And sure Evie's shy nature sometimes got on my nerves :) But she's likeable and matures a lot as the story goes..
I found myself wanting to read more about Stone and Evie..

To decribe this book and the story line and characters, to me there was romance, a little alpha male ego , great chemistry between all the characters even though the main character was different from her peers noone treated her different and in fact was very welcoming. I wished there was a POV from Stone's thoughts that would it make it a 10 star :) Seriouly great book to read if you like bad ass alphas who knows how to rock your world :)

THIS BOOK!!! I couldn't get enough of it!! I loved every character and absolutely adore Stone!! My god, talk about one hell of a male lead!! He barely speaks but he says soooo much, just with a look. All that I keep thinking Is THIS BOOK!!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!! Read this read this read this!! I was enraptured from the first page until the very last!!!!

Evelyn Vine Be Mine is a long read for me because it took me two to three days just to finish this book but it's totally worth reading! :)

And seriously, are they really seventeen and nineteen? Hahaha. Overall I loved it! :)

This is an interesting book, though I can't quite finish it. I don't understand how the main characters develop a relationship when the H hardly spoke.... I thought it would be hard to develop a even a friendship, let alone a relationship when you don't communicate but always guessing what the other party's action means.

Oh it was just terribly cute and sweet. Stone is the silent, big, burly kind of guy who's actually a huge softie deep inside and Evelyn is the shy, cute girl who blushes for everything. I rest my case.

I LOVE this book!! I read it after my sister recommended it. I have never read anything by this author but after this one, I'm definitely going to start looking into her stuff!! It has a Beautiful Disaster, Thoughtless, and even a lil Fifty Shades feel to it!! Definitely a must read!!
