Stone.

No, he’s not my boyfriend, or even just a friend.

In fact, we’ve never spoken a word to one another.

Stone and his band mates rule the ‘Alice Gardens’ house and dominate most of the other university students as well. People respect them, fear them, adore them.

And Stone is their king.

Their huge, silent, intimidating king. He frightens me.

Whenever I’m near him, my entire

3.5 stars for this book. I ended up really liking it in the second half. It started slow and a bit tedious with the whole non-verbal communication thing, but after I became invested in Grant (Stone) and Evie's relationship I needed to know what developed and how their friends and family played into the story. Loved the song at the end **melted heart**
Thanks to GR friend Yani for setting me up with this book!

Well this was an interesting read. It's about teenagers at college. But it is an adult read IMO, as there are explicit sex scenes. Even some mild BDSM. Evie arrives for her first day at college, with no one to help her with her luggage. As none of her multitude of brothers and sisters had offered to go with her either as help, or moral support. So Evie is struggling with her luggage when a guy approaches and just picks up her cases and takes them to her room, without uttering a word.

Oh wow. This book was almost really good. When I first started reading it I was expecting a cross between "Thoughtless" and "Beautiful Disaster" and it kind of was like that just nowhere near as good as those two. I enjoyed the connection between Stone and Evie but the book moved kind of slowly for me and the author waaaaay overdid the strong, silent type thing with Stone-that's what stopped the book from becoming one of my favourites. The fact that a hundred pages into the book he had spoken a...more

You know, this book really surprised me.
Not that I wasn’t expecting it wouldn’t be good, but I wasn’t expecting that it would be so freakin hilarious. I laughed out loud at so many parts. So fun.
I don’t think this book is well known. Apparently it used to be a fanfic. But this one was highly recommended in Maryse’s facebook page. And when it was said Stone was right there in the top with Fifty (50 Shades of Grey), Kellan (Thoughtless), Travis (Beautiful Disaster) and Gideon (Bared to You) I was...more

Five stars for originality! Her 11 brothers *swoons* This was one unique read.. and that's why I LOVED it.. At first I was a little taken aback by Grant aka Stone.. I thought he was all brawn and no brains becuase you have to get quite a way into the book to hear him speak the first time LOL.. but I though this was all part of his appeal (esspecially his addiction to smarties!) And Evie was such a darling,(view spoiler)[ you really see how much she means to grant really at the end.. and how deep...more

I read this online quite a while ago and often go back and read it again because it is really addictive. It depicts the transformation of a 17 year old Evie from a skinny, shy, meek girl with family and ex boyfriend issues into a physically toned, more sociable and communicative young woman. The hero 'Stone' is of the old physically tall/ strong and silent type lead, so much so that misunderstandings emerge and cause a great deal of problems between the two leads. The supporting characters are f...more

Where to begin with this book it was awesome. I fricken loved it i couldn't put it down.. Yes it did start off slow and took forever to get to the good stuff but the way the author wrote made me just keep reading until the void was filled where it got to the nitty gritty.

Evie did make me mad sometimes and I hated that Stone hardly ever spoke. That pissed me off a lot of the times because their communication through out this book sucked so badly i wanted to slap them both. but other than that th...more

sooo...like I said..Evie was annoying little mouse at first..with her whispering..and ''he is not my boyfriend''...I wont spoil much..at the end of the book I liked her a little better..

Stone...omg...he is f***** mute...I could stand his bossines..and overprotectivnes..if he would only speak..why have the caracter who speaks with grunts and growls and his eyes...

I liked Briar, Candy, Fredie, Alec and Donny :) because of them I kept reading..ow,,and the hot steamy sex scenes..that was ok too :)

This book really engulfed me. I didn't realize it until I finished at 2am in the morning. This surprised me because I was unnerved by the Evie and Stone but yet I had to keep going. I give the credit to the cast of characters as a whole. They are very entertaining and eventually Evie and Stone grew on me too. I think I would have given this read 5 stars if only a certain main character had more to say. I mean I was holding out for some trauma or disability reveal and when that didn't happen I ju...more

"Evelyn Vine,
Please say you’ll be…
Mine."

I was surprised by this book. I had no idea of what to think when I read it the first time (because of Stone) so I read it again.

Meet Evie…
description

She is a shy girl who comes from a big family (9 brothers and 2 sisters). She likes to be left alone and be on the sidelines, where she doesn’t attract attention to herself.
But what she doesn’t know is that she attracted attention since she put foot on campus. Literally.

So…

Meet Grant Stone…

If a guy wrote that sort of a song for me and sung it in front of a hundred people , I'd handcuff him to me FOREVER ! Yup , you aren't going anywhere my honeybuns !

Oh lord almighty , this book is HAWT !!!! Evelyn Vine is a shy , down to earth girl who just wants to get lost in the crowd . She doesnt like attention and isn't desperate for it...more

The story was not bad, keeps you wanting to know what will happen to Stone & Evie's relationship given the personality of Stone. I was really looking forward to an intense "lack of communication" issue since they mostly talk with their eyes and it never fails me. A page turner, and even though there are a lot of characters in the story, their side story is still interesting. In the end, I was actually hoping for more of them rather than getting to know the whole battalion of characters thoug...more

I loved this Book Loved Evelyn and how shy she was, and how much by the the end of the book she was able to find her voice. *sighs* holy cow what can I say about Stone? He was sweet and very hard not to fall in love with the guy, for such a big guy, he was soft and very gentle with Eve. For how he never really talked I wish that Chelle did a POV for both Evelyn and Stone, just so we could have been able to get to know him a lil better. I wish there was a tad more at the end, but to me this book...more

This book needed my patience because Evie at certain points pissed me off. I don't care what anyone says you say no it means no and allowing someone to touch you is ridiculous.
Also, she is judgmental and allowing her decisions to affect her without facts are shallow. I thought she was quick to be angry when she is guilty of the same thing.
Stone seemed overbearing and protective.

Overall I liked it and loved the characters. They were well developed and the chemistry blew my mind.

There is strong and silent type, then there is mute. Stone very nearly touched the latter. Never known a man who can talk be as miser with words as he !!
Evelyn seemed shady to me. Being her character introduced as a shy and good girl, she seemed quite a diff girl from deep inside. She even let her rich friends buy her things repeatedly ! Could only show backbone for it once, that too on nothing more than 3 shakes $4 each.

I'm actually surprised I liked this one! Even as I was reading it :)
It takes some getting used to Stone's mute behavior, and normally alpha-males who only ever grunts makes me annoyed.. but for some reason it worked in this story.. And sure Evie's shy nature sometimes got on my nerves :) But she's likeable and matures a lot as the story goes..
I found myself wanting to read more about Stone and Evie..

To decribe this book and the story line and characters, to me there was romance, a little alpha male ego , great chemistry between all the characters even though the main character was different from her peers noone treated her different and in fact was very welcoming. I wished there was a POV from Stone's thoughts that would it make it a 10 star :) Seriouly great book to read if you like bad ass alphas who knows how to rock your world :)

THIS BOOK!!! I couldn't get enough of it!! I loved every character and absolutely adore Stone!! My god, talk about one hell of a male lead!! He barely speaks but he says soooo much, just with a look. All that I keep thinking Is THIS BOOK!!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!! Read this read this read this!! I was enraptured from the first page until the very last!!!!

Love at first sight. It reminds me of this song…

”One look
and I'm mesmerized by your eyes
You're comin' like a hurricane
Blowing down on me

Cause it's your mystery that captures me
I'm falling in, drawing closer…”

Evelyn Vine Be Mine is a long read for me because it took me two to three days just to finish this book but it's totally worth reading! :)

And seriously, are they really seventeen and nineteen? Hahaha. Overall I loved it! :)

This is an interesting book, though I can't quite finish it. I don't understand how the main characters develop a relationship when the H hardly spoke.... I thought it would be hard to develop a even a friendship, let alone a relationship when you don't communicate but always guessing what the other party's action means.

"Oscar the Grouch?"
I blushed. "He's my favourite," I whispered.
Fredi snickered, "No wonder you like Stone."

You know what I liked best?

That song in the end! Made my insides melt :)

Oh it was just terribly cute and sweet. Stone is the silent, big, burly kind of guy who's actually a huge softie deep inside and Evelyn is the shy, cute girl who blushes for everything. I rest my case.

really enjoyed the book. just bit slow on the beginning and wish Stone was talking "a bit" more .. :)) anyway good read, couldn't put it down until the end and then wanted a bit more.....

Slept just 4 hours because of this book. Fell in love with stone. I just don't understand the "not talking much". He's somehow mute haha but then again you'll still love him.

It was fun to read something from this side of the planet for a change!

Good story, Stone was a bit too quiet for me. I am a sucker for the brooding males though.

I LOVE this book!! I read it after my sister recommended it. I have never read anything by this author but after this one, I'm definitely going to start looking into her stuff!! It has a Beautiful Disaster, Thoughtless, and even a lil Fifty Shades feel to it!! Definitely a must read!!

Needed a bit more editing and I wish the hero would have talked more but all in all I loved it and will add it to my favorites list!
