Every church leader should read this book. Frambach does an incredible job of explaining what the "emerging church" is and how it directly connects with our deep Lutheran theology. Emerging church is not a threat to the Lutheran church, but instead should be embraced by the Lutheran church as a new way of doing ministry in today's world. He encourages us to look back to the ancient church for answers on how to do ministry in our quickly changing society.

This book has me excited about ministry. Which, I guess, is about the best thing you could say about such a book. So yes, Ben, you should read this if you get the chance. It might cover some familiar ground, but I think it offers some useful Lutheran insights and understandings of what it means to be the church.
