Wow. This book is densely packed. I spent a long time reading it, and I feel like there's more to absorb. Dr. Leaver has look minutely at every aspect of Luther's relationship with music. His conclusion is that Luther was totally deliberate in his use of liturgical music, and if only half of Dr. Leaver's evidence was reliable, I'd still be convinced.
