The book started of pretty funny with a human and her witch friend sighing up for 1Night Stand and them we jumped right into the vampire POV. It was interesting to see how much these two anticipated the little adventure. Oh, and the vampire’s daughter is responsible for his part and made it all without his knowledge, but he kinda liked.

A little bit of action was actually really good in the book and made the hunting more real. Plus we discovered mor...more

I love this series and I love Lia Davis, so I knew there would be a good chance that I would love this book and I really did. It was fun and sweet. Do not get me wrong, it did have some naughty bits ;) , but the characters were so easy to relate too and it was so fun to watch their connection grow. Emalee being stuck between two worlds and not knowing where she truly fit in is something I think many of us can relate too on some level. Darian has a past too many of us can either relate to or symp...more

I've confessed this before, the 1Night Stand series is kind of a guilty pleasure for me. They're short, and when they're done well (and this one is done quite well) they manage to pack a naughty but nice little happily ever after into a tidy package. Whoever came up with this idea was a genius.

Emalee wants to be the hunter, just for one night. She wants to live out the fantasy in her paranormal romances, and hunt a vampire. She thinks it's going to be make-...more

As with nearly all of the books in Decadent Publishing’s 1 Night Stand series, this is a short little novella. With a lot of novellas, the plot can feel rushed and there’s often a lack of character development. That’s not the case with Ravished Before Sunrise!

You get a feel for the backstory for both Ema and Darian, as well as the world they live in without a problem. The chemistry, as well as the reason behind it, is present and steamy lending plausibility to the whole experience. They have a s...more

This was a cute sexy story. An adult cat and mouse chase with a good romp at the end. i would have loved to have a bigger story. That is my only complaint is that it was too short. Would have liked to have more between the 2 characters! The writing was good and the story wasn't boring. The sex scene was hot. Worth the read but it is quick!

Just a deliciously fun read. I'm very partial to vampires, especially when I can catch them acting all-too human. Darian has that human side as well as what we all expect to see in a vamp: dark, sexy, dangerous. Lucky Emalee, and lucky Darian, that she can accept him for what he is and give him what he needs. Of course, in Ms. Davis's fun romp, it goes both ways.

If you want a satisfying vamp story that's different but enjoyable, give this one a try. I look forward to reading more from Lia Davis....more

Ravished Before Sunrise pits Emalee Black, an erstwhile vampire huntress (for the sake of ravishment, not staking) against formidable, centuries old Darian Wyman, and then the fun begins...full review @http://www.sizzlinghotbooks.net/2012/...
