Beautiful but prim history professor Roseleen White cherished her new precious possession - a thousand-year old Scandinavian sword. Little did she realise that a careless caress of the sword's mighty hilt would conjure up no less a figure than the mighty Thorn Blooddrinker, a Viking warrior who was to fulfil Roseleen's every desire.

Thorn had been the prisoner of a centurie

This was my first Johanna Lindsey read and I found the writing to be easy to follow, a bit flowery but not overly so. The storyline was unique to me, and I thought it was imaginative. I wish there had been more actual Viking lifestyle, as opposed to the gods storyline, but I guess in time travel, it is what it is – you’re not spending long periods of time in one era, you’re… well… traveling through time. There were moments when I felt like the story was dragging, then other times when

Just re-read this after having read it many many years ago. This time around, I couldn't get over the HUGE gaping plot hole!

Rosaleen purchases a 2000 year old viking sword that has a small surprise. Thorn, the original owner of the sword was cursed and comes attached to the sword, so to speak. He can be "called" anytime a female owns the sword. Rosaleen is a History professor who realizes the value of speaking to someone who has seen many things over 2000 years and is even more excited to find o

Yuck! I just could not get into this book. Roseleen is so extremely stick-up-her-butt and she doesn't want to change. She's a virgin not from convictions (although she keeps mentioning them but they make so sense) but more I feel for the control. She has control over the relationship and the men have to do what she says or else.

She acquires a cursed sword that's attached to a Viking named Thorn. The first time he's summoned he tells her to release him. In fact he tells her about 3 times. She wa

an interesting book about one of the pivotal points in history: 1066 the invasion of Britain by William of Normandy. They screw up the timeline and spend most of the book trying to make it right. Good reading.

It's one of my favorites. I love the time travel and the mythology in it and how she wrapped it up all nice in the end.

[image error]

The first half of this book had me smiling and laughing -- a Viking fish out of water adventure. The timetraveling BACK in time kind of stole some of that fun away in the second half, because by the nature of the time period they were in, it forced our leading lady to become more passive, or else make really nonsensical decisions that didn't quite mesh with her character's supposed level of intelligence. The reversal of the fish out of water in her case was more difficult to believe, because she ...more
I love Johanna Lindsey--My Mother loves Johanna Lindsey, therefore she loved this book but lost it when she was younger so I hadn't been able to read it til now- and with all my moms ravings, I thought this might top Gentle Rogue (Malory-Anderson Family, #3) by Johanna Lindsey(which, by the way, is my ultimate effing favorite by Johanna:P) but I came out disappointed- with the ending anyway-- everything else was good--but the ending really peeved me off :/ still can't help but love Johanna Lindsey.

This is my FAVORITE book ever! The story is a Viking fantasy with some time travel to the past thrown in (which causes a bit of trouble for the future) and causes the reader to see how each character needs things to be. The professor needs her viking and he desires her more than Valhalla. Does she go with him or does he stay? The book has a wonderful flow and I couldn't seem to put it down. While some romance books leave you wanting at the end, this one satisfies like no other has.

Bleh.

Berupa pengalaman baru bc seri JL bertemakan mitos dan magic. Tetapi, ceritanya benar-benar tidak mengecewakan. Malah menurutku seri ini termasuk terbaik setelah sekian lama Dastan nerbitin seri JL yg biasa sj setelah Man of My Dreams dan Once a Princess

ceritanya berputar2 dimasa kini & medieval.

Roseleen white, seorang profesor yg menggila2i benda2 jaman dulu melalui kakak laki2nya berhasil membeli pedang berdarah milik thorn, brother to the Norse God Thor. pedang tersebut diduga dikutuk hingga tidak boleh dimiliki oleh wanita. alasan yg dikemudian akan menjadi jelas.

Roseleen tentu saja tidak mempercaya kutukan tersebu
Until Forever by Johanna Lindsey is a simple historical romance, although historical isn’t really the right word. Yes, the main characters do travel back in time, but mostly they spend time in the modern days.

Roseleen White is a history professor, who collect ancient weapons and she just got her hands on an ancient Viking sword known as “Blood drinker’s curse”. But Rose isn’t aware of its power and she accidentally summons its original owner.

Thorn Blooddrinker isn’t too happy when he is summoned

Blah. I did read the whole thing but not sure why. I wanted to read something lighter, fluffy - this was fluffy and boring. It was definitely a clone of some of the older, classic time travel romance stories I have read only the writing was bad even for that genre. Books like "Knight in Shining Armor" or "Outlander" were much better. I mean most romance books have a "cheesy" element to them but this one was particularly bad. I can't stand a "heroine" who travels back in time, to say the middle a ...more

Lucu banget ngelihat tingkah Thorn yang cemburu sama diri sendiri karena mesti merelakan Roseleen memperlambat waktu agar Thorn masa lalu bertemu dengan masa kini (kalo bingung baca sendiri yah krn gw ribet nulis apa itu Thorn masa lalu dan masa kini,,hihihihihi). Belom lagi Roseleen yang cerewetnya minta ampun,

I read this book as it was recommended by a fb site that recommends books to read after the Outlander series. I assume this book was recommended because of the time travel aspect. That's about the only similarities. The book's main character is a history professor who collects swords, and acquires one that is cursed, thus the time travel, and instruction to a Viking warrior. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I found this book to be mostly cliche and predictable, though there were

I wasn't entirely sure what to make of this book. It had just enough like to keep me interested but I thought the low scenes were a bit overdone. I wasn't sure what I thought of the way it ended, it was plausible and interesting and certainly not the most expected. But I happy ending is a happy ending so I'll take it! It's honestly more than 3 1/2 star book, but for some reason I just could not fully get into it and believe that the characters believe what was happening in the story. I know that ...more

Johanna Helen Howard was born on March 10, 1952 in Germany, where her father, Edwin Dennis Howard, a soldier in the U.S. Army was stationed. The family moved about a great deal when she was young. Her father always dreamed of retiring to Hawaii, and after he passed away in 1964 Johanna and her mother settled there to honor him.

In 1970, when she was still in school, she married Ralph Lindsey, becom
