At the pulsating heart of the bustling medical community which is Sydney Harbour Hospital is Alexis 'Lexi' Lockheart. She's Head of Events, the organizer of the high profile social events which put Sydney Harbour Hospital on the map and raise the money to enable the hospital to work in the community to its fullest potential. Her connections with the hospital are many and probably enabled her to land this job, which she does so incredibly well. Her father is a hospital board member, the eldest of ...more

Sort of boring, with really terrible characters. Lexi is naive in weird ways for someone who is supposed to be so worldly. She also annoyed me to death with how she was always saying things about how she quit everything in life and got bad grades and had no ambition because her sister was sick and couldn't do things so she didn't want her to feel bad about her limitations. While I understand sacrifice for a loved one, this took it to extreme levels and I cannot imagine any sibling, healthy or si ...more

Hallelujah! Done for another year. This entry wasn’t quite as strong as the others. If I’d read it with nothing to compare it to I might be inclined to give it fuller praise. There are a few grammatical mistakes, though since the author is Australian it very well could be that what I see as a mistake is simply a difference in style. The sex scenes were appropriately spicy, but the vocabulary gets a little repetitive, and one of the spiciest was between two entirely different characters. If it wa ...more

I grew up on a small farm on the outskirts of Sydney and as a keen horse rider, often competed in local gymkhanas and even broke in a few horses from time to time. As I was surrounded by animals, I decided at an early age to become a nurse, however I couldn’t stand the sight of blood and so opted for a career in teaching. It’s a bit ironic that I married a surgeon.
