This book probably has one of the most compelling first lines in fiction, “Nathalia Lovejoy was dead, she had to be: she’d committed suicide.” How can you not read on from that line?

Nathalia wakes up on a marble slab not sure if she’s dead or alive and from then on I was hooked. This book is more sci-fi than the first book in the Ishtar series. You have the angels and the werewolves and the vampires…all called something different and there’s a hierarchy to that is just really compelling. I thin

Mind-Bending Paranormal Erotica!
Transit of Ishtar (book of Sinnis) by young visionary Natalie Gibson is so mind-bending and so erotic that it does not fit the confines of the Paranormal Romance genre. This is Paranormal Erotic Romance mixed with Science Fiction and Horror.
In the first few scenes, Nathalia Lovejoy wakes in an alternate universe within the author's original alternate universe. She does not know how she got there, she shouldn't be anywhere. All she knows is that she's naked with t

I really enjoyed Ishtar Bound, Gibson's first offering in the Sinnis series, and was looking forward to finding out how the story progressed. I now have to admit that I actually prefer this book to the first, as it is so much more. The first book almost sets the scene, introducing us to the characters and the Daughters, giving us a taste of who they are and what they can do. It focuses a lot on Maeve and her matches, while a side story shows us Nathalia's history and eventual sacrifice to the Da ...more

Although this is the 2nd book in the series, it is easily a stand alone story as well. This is definitely an action packed, sexy little story. Nathalia Lovejoy is a kick ass heroine and the story, as well as the majority, of the book focus on her. There are plenty of other characters and a truly intriguing storyline to keep you turning these pages. Gibson draws you into her world with every word, the world she has created for her Nephilim, the Sinnis and the Daughters is anciently evolved.

Ms. Gibson has a fan in me. I adore this series. The characters make you want to know more, and dive further into the story. I like how even though this was the second in a series, it could have worked as a stand-alone story. It was different enough to work either as a series or a single, which to me is a sign of a great book. Some series just cannot work that way, but this one does. Great for anyone just starting out, and then they can go back later to purchase the others.

I am very excited to c

In book two (Transit of Ishtar) The Daughters are mourning the Death of Abbess Nathalia Lovejoy. What they don't know is Natalie is now the First female guardian. Erian is a guardian and teaches her what she needs. He is also her Sinnis (Soulmate). They have loved before. In my opinion this one is much more erotic than book one. (Hubby got lucky a couple of times) HOT STUFF! And a little humor that had me laughing out loud at one point. The world that Natalie Gibson has created is sexy and frigh ...more

Truly enjoy Natalie's writing. She gives such attention to detail, you can truly visualize the story being told. The second book in the Sinnis Series, Transit Of Ishtar, wonderful. Nathalia went from hatred of men, totally understandable from her past experience(book one) to evolving beautifully with Eiran. The love, patience, care, Eiran had for her was just wonderfully sweet. We got a better understanding of the Guardians and their role. And now the arrival of The One. Really great read, great ...more

Holy Crap! This book was intense. It answered so many questions I had from the first book. This is unlike any other book I have ever read. When you read the first book, you think it's about witchcraft, BUT there are these other people/creatures in the story that make you think, hmmm... In this book, you find out what those people/creatures are and so much is explained. I still have lots of questions and am highly curious to what's going to happen with the Ishtar.

The TRANSIT OF ISHTAR will grab you and not let go. Gibson has created a fantastic world where Nephilim seek to find their forever mates. Nathalia, a woman of power, finds herself alive after committing suicide and playing a huge part in a much larger fight for the world than she could have ever imaged existed. One of my favorite parts of the book was where Eiran's mark became part of her body. Beautiful symbolism. Passionate love story. You won't be able to quit turning the pages.

I have to be honest. While a fine story, I didn't like Transit of Ishtar as much as its prequel, Ishtar Bound. It was a very different book. It really gets the Sinnis series rolling and while Ishtar Bound was relatively self-contained this one felt very much like the start of something bigger. There were a lot of explanations that will, no doubt, carry through the rest of the series. On the up side of that, a number of the questions I was left with at the end of the last book were answered here. ...more

In Book 2 of the Sinnis series, the Daughters are mourning the death of their beloved leader and sister, Abbess Nathalia Lovejoy. Maeve has stepped in as interim Abbess until a new Abbess can be appointed. While adjusting to her new role and responsibilities within the coven, Maeve also has her new role of wife and soon-to-be mother to adjust to.

Nathalia, who has died by her own hand, is now more alive than ever. She is the First female guardian and has been given the responsibility to kill any

I have always loved reading. In middle and high school, I could be found with my nose in a book between classes while others were flirting and primping. In a small way, I hated to turn 16 because it meant I could drive to school and didn't have the extra hour in the morning to read a few extra chapters. I love paperbacks. Hardbacks, not so much. They are heavy and cumbersome and come with dust jac ...more
