Jay’s a good submissive. Richard has never regretted taking him under his protection. He’s never regretted deciding that it was time for them to move into their first house together either. The only thing Richard doesn’t understand is why Jay’s been so damn determined to nag him into choosing something for the house.

When Jay comes home to a find a shock in their hallway, h...more

I'll admit that I like stories about subs (or Doms, for that matter) who suddenly come to realize their importance for their partner beyond the kinky BDSM play they engage in. There is something especially charming when this ‘lesson’ is learned by a somewhat insecure sub who is still trying to find his place in life and cannot quite imagine what his master sees in him.

Jay is just such a sub. We don’t find out much about his ‘outside’ life other than he is a student of some kind. His thoughts are...more

Another adorable sweet story from Kim Dare. I only wish I'd seen the photo that inspired it on her blog before I read the story!

What Richard chooses is an enormous wooden statue of a cock and balls, which he has placed in the entry hall. Jay is flabber...more

The huge sculpture featured in this short story was a lot of fun and the characters were decent. There was some nice intense sex and then some nice conversation about insecurities in the Dom/sub relationship.

This was an enjoyable short story. I really would have liked to learn more about this particular couple. I especially liked Jay, so tremulous about his relationship with Sir.

Sweet short kinky m/m romance about a submissive who returns home to discover that his master's contribution to their home's decor is not at all what he suspected. (I took the picture that inspired said contribution. Hee hee.)

I have always enjoyed Kim Dare's books. They are always filled with hot chemistry, tenderness and a very deep sense of love. I felt that this one had 2 out of the three. I just didn't feel the connection between Jay and Richard.
