The Fallen Legacies (Lorien Legacies: The Lost Files #3)
Before Number Four, there were One, Two, and Three. Until now we've only known that the Mogadorians caught Number One in Malaysia. Number Two in England. And Number Three in Kenya. But all of that is about to change. . . .

This was a really interesting difference to the Lorien books. Instead of reading from each Garde's perspectives, this one is from a unique perspective by a young Mogadorian boy's, "Adamus" as the three first Garde are killed. What is neat about this, is that you get a better sense of the lives that the "Mogs" lead. Their childhood, their training, the difference between True-Borns and the Mog military that we have come to know in these books up to this point, is detailed in a way that shines the...more
This book is narrated from a very refreshing perspective - a Mogadorian, Adamus. And I think this Adamus guy appeals to me a lot, and I think this book really fulfills its purpose to support the Lorien Legacies series. It offers further insight on how the Mogadorians work, and tell us that not all Mogadorians are bad, and maybe there are also good Mogadorians like Adamus out there. Though I doubt so, but still...

"This is a waste of time," seethes Ivan, and he stomps off into the hut's backroom, where we've stored our equipment. I assume he's going to report to my father: no Loric found yet; Kenyan children hurt my feelings.
This short story in the Lorien series tells takes the unique perspective of Adamus, the son of a Mogodorian general who is in charge of trying to find and destroy the Garde on earth. Adamus shares in his people's dreams of conquest, until -- as part of an experiment -- his mind becom...more

This was not what I expected at all! The first Lost Files installment to be published was Six's Legacy, which came out after I Am Number Four to chronicle the backstory of Six who appeared towards the end of that novel. The second installment, Nine's Legacy, appeared after The Power of Six where Nine is briefly introduced toward the end without much in the way of backstory. Both of these installments were great in giving a deeper look into these characters and what made them into who they became...more

We always saw things from the Gardes' point of view so it was a nice change to see things from a Mogadorian; a mogadorian who can think out of the box.
Adamus (Adam) is unlike the other mogadorians, he is different. And after the experience with One, I know that he is not the bad guy that we associate him with because of his race. But I think he is just one in a million that really sees what the mogadorians is doing and what the Gardes' is fighting for. The family he knew were cruel and doesn't c...more

The latest offering in The lost files series is actually told from the point of view of a Mogadorian! As soon as I heard that, I knew I had to read it as soon as I could get my greedy hands on it.
And The fallen legacies didn't disappoint me at all, it was great getting that insight into a Mogadorians mind, and a teenage one at that, it didn't even occur to me before that there were younger Mogs, but duh, of course there are lol.

Friends, hurry up and read this so I have someone to talk about it with- so many spoilers are possible, I'll keep this review short.
HOLY COW! This was really amazing. I decided to give this a try because I enjoyed learning more about Six and Nine in the other Lost Files books. Those of you who have wondered about the first three to fall will really enjoy getting to know their stories and find out what they went through in their last moments. I was not prepared to actually get to know some of the...more

Interesting, not what I was expecting. A "Legacies" tale from the perspective of a Mogadorian. Like the old westerns on TV, there is a clear good and evil, and the idea is that if the enemy can only be exposed to the right way of thinking, he will come over to the side of goodness and light...which of course is what happens to Adamus. A bit simplistic, as it becomes clear early on that it is only a matter of time (and not much time at that) before Adamus changes his mind, notwithstanding the inf...more

This was a very enjoyable read that fleshes out the back-story of the first three Garde. What is most surprising about it is that it is told from a Mog’s perspective! It was very interesting to hear the other side of the story, and learn more about what makes the bad guys tick. That being said, this book ends on a (WICKED) cliff-hanger that comes rather abruptly. Being at the 61% point in the book, I am expecting a good chunk of story left to be told, but I am suddenly cut-off and offered previe...more
Let me start by saying that I LOVE the idea behind releasing these shorter stories and giving background on the Lorien Gaurde. The extra information is great and it really wets my apatite in anticipation of THE RISE OF NINE. It has lots of action, great storytelling and I am so excited about the new character, Adam, and can not wait to see how he fits into the next full length novel. That being said, I do feel a little bamboozled when the story ended at 61%!!! The rest is just previews of the fu...more
I actually fangirled when I got this book. I loved it a lot, but I wish Pittacus would write more about Six's backstory until the day she met John. That would've been interesting.
That excluded, I loved it.
I also loved how Pittacus made a mogadorian hero, that I never expected, and would make the main story even better. Although I wish he will be in the book 'The Fall of Five' and not only show up in the novellas. That would awesome.
It was a great idea to actually make this novella since it gives...more

I thought that this was a fun little extra to the series, although I am hoping that there will be some full books now rather than just these short stories.
I thought that it was interesting to see the story from the opposite side, although it would probably have been more interesting to see it from the standpoint of a normal Mogadorian.
I’m hoping that this is going to lead into a more detailed story in the main books and possibly some more insight into the Mogadorians and whether there are...more

I think I like this more than any of the other books I've read so far. Which some might think is stupid since the series is about the members of the Garde. But the main character in this book, Adamus, may be the best character ever written. From the Loriens's perspective, everything is so black and white, but this just shows that it really isn't. The only disappointment for me was how short this book was. The rest was filled up with excerpts from the other books. DO YOU THINK I'D BE READING THIS...more

The author choose a new path this time, by showing the view from the Mogadorians. I loved reading this book and am currently reading the second one. I loved hearing the story of the Mogs and their past, especially how they view life and everything.

this wasn't what i expected. yes, it tells us about the fallen legacies but there is something more. this is quite intriguing because the son of the General of the Mogadorians turn his back on them. Adamus , also known as Adam, witnessed the death of Number One. He was just thirteen at the time. And one of the scientist of the Mogadorians, invented a machine where they could access a Garde's mind, and Adam had the privilege to be the specimen because he was the one closest to the age of Number O...more

It was okay. In theory, it was a nice idea to have this novella narrated by a Mogadorian. However, I can't help but feel like it was unsuccessful. I was incredibly disappointed to find that true-born Mogs are #justlikehumans. This SCREAMS lazy to me, as the author(s? I am unsure whether or not Jobie had bowed out of the project by this point) has/have clearly put NO effort into their world-building. In the main series, the Mogs are painted as a ruthless race of alien warriors bent on conquering...more
This was one of my favorite novellas of this series. It had everything in it and was completely and thoroughly awesome. Ever since the beginning of the Lorien Legacies Series I have always wondered what happened exactly to the first three of the Lorien and their Cepans. I finally got the answers in this novella. The Fallen Legacies brings a whole new perspective to this series. It starts all the way back in the beginning before any of the Lorien have died and the narrator of the story is a young...more
The son of a Mogodorian general, Adamus has been raised to loathe the Garde and seek their destruction. But an experimental procedure where he goes into One's memories weakens his resolve. At the same time, One, Two, and Three are killed.

I highly recommend this to those who have fallen madly and deeply inlove with the Lorien Garde's way of survival against the Mogadorians. This time the story was told by one of the Mogadorian. A not-so-much-into-killing type of Mogadorian. Yes, mate! He, named Adam, exist. It also talks about the backstory of One, Two and Three and how they were killed. I have nothing against this book but pure fascination and endless joy. Well, Hope to hear from you soon, Adamus Chorva Sutekh.
i liked this story a lot. i had a bit of a hard time getting into it at first since it's written from a mogdorian's perspective, but i quickly got into it and now i'm really rooting for this character. i hope he shows up in the rise of nine or whatever the next book is. this book didn't have a ton of new info in it, but it was entertaining and really has me curious as to if it was a curiosity sideshow that the author was just playing with by introducing this character or if he'll become an impor...more
Love! Love! Love! I loved the different perspective this book was written in. It was completely opposite of the normal view the other Lorien books were written. The different way of life of the mogodorians was also very interesting to read. I can't help but feel for Adam and his diverse view of his culture. It was a good short read, but I don't want to give anything away and now I am patiently waiting for the rise of nine to be published.

A FRESH PERSPECTIVE. A new insight. A thrilling flashback. A satisfied reader. I couldn't be happier that Pittacus Lore decided to write this book. The whole series just feels complete. The empty spaces when we didn't know how the others died is filled. It changed my opinion of Mogs. Guess some of them do end up having a heart. Can't wait to see if Adam (our rebel Mog kid) comes in Book 4!! :D
