Readers will be advised to read the previous title introducing the Tollins, tiny winged creatures that bring to mind fairies but are quite stocky and tough, before reading this one. The same characters from the earlier title appear in this one, which contains three related stories. "Romeo and Beryl" allows Sparkler to stage a Shakespearean play after he finds the original one in a book for humans.
