I won this book in a giveaway.

Loved, loved, loved this book. I read it in 1 day...I have two young boys so reading a book in 1 day is unheard of. I simply could not put it down.

I wanted to become best friends with Danielle, and hang out with Lauren. I loved that Danielle found an unconditional friend in Alice. By the way, Lauren is a fantastic name as it's my middle name--ha ha. I laughed so hard when it came to Adeline; mostly because her craziness reminds me of my hilarious grandmo...more
Wonderful read! Highly recommended! Loved the interweaving of Danielle and Adeline's stories. Danielle -- A daughter ousted by her prominent high-society father and mother when she was found to be pregnant; Danielle raising her daughter Lauren; the father Tommy in the military presumed to be dead. Adeline -- An eighty-plus year old woman who has had a life of flamboyance in the theater world, but now befriends Danielle. Both have dreams of their own. The story line flows wonderfully and is inter...more

I'm a wee bit partial, being the author and all, but I do have to say ... as with many writer's story lines ... the actual kiss in the rain is based on a real event ... just sayin'. :)
A sweet book with interesting well-drawn characters. I particularly enjoyed the character of Adeline. I have had three grandmothers in my life, two biological and one who was an extremely close friend. From all three I learned lessons that will stay with me always and know that sometimes the most important relationships are those that span the generations.
This Danielle, the lead character in a Kiss in the Rain, learns when she meets Adeline - an eccentric old lady with a talent of asking just t...more

"A Kiss in the Rain" is an intimate look into the life of a young woman hurt by life, who finds her way to trust in Jesus Christ through the friendship she forms with a woman 60 years her senior. Danielle and Adeline will become your friends as they bond with each other.”

This book has more twists and turns than a back road in Oklahoma – and each one is entertaining, amusing, thoughtful, and well-written. The characters are totally relatable and well-developed; the emotions and thoughts of each a...more

A Kiss In The Rain follows the heartfelt story of a young woman named Danielle and her little girl, Lauren. When Danielle's grandmother dies, her aunt doesn't waste any time blaming her for the death. It is a modern version of the age old tale of losing just about everything and wondering how much more is going to be thrown at you before things turn around. There are many beautifully written passages in the book. However, I also found some passages confusing.
I loved this book. I became very spell bound by the story and just couldn't put the book down until I was finished with it. I thought it was very well-written. I can hardly wait to read Dacia's next book!!! I thought A Kiss In The Rain was a very sweet and feel good story. Loved the relationships she developed during the story. I would strongly recommend this book to others.
I loved this book! I started reading and had a hard time putting it down. While cleaning, parenting and even vacationing, I looked for any chance to pick it up and continue reading. The characters were down to earth and the story line captivating. I would recommend this book over and over!
Great book. Started and couldnt put it down. I needed to know what Was going to happen next. Great book that I could read and then let my daughter read. I have let all my GFs know it is a book to read for the summer. What a wonderful twist. I can't wait for the next one
