This book is what you would expect in a romantic comedy. The guy that has many girls but has difficulty getting the one he loves. BUT I think the author did an amazing job at adding in twists. Like the reason why the siblings quarrel or why Eddie owes Alexis. I didn’t quite like how Eddie’s secret is revealed, and I think that CC could have been WAY more devious.

Alexis seemed like every guys perfect girl, and all the brothers (Owen, Ty, Will and Damien) every girl

I haven't read a YA romance in quite a while so I was excited to get my teeth into Against All Odds. It seemed to me like your stereotypical teen romance; however, there were, to my surprise, some deeper family issues addressed as well.

I thought the first half of the novel was very good. A wide variety of characters were introduced and the way that their lives and deeper issues all connected was very interesting; however, the second half did drag a little. I'd say it's pretty obvious what happen

This book was so unbelievably cute! It starts out a little slow, but it quickly picks up speed as more characters are introduced. The story opens and we are introduced to Damien. He is a rich kid, and a bit cliched as the party boy that uses girls. You never really see this side of him though, so it's not hard to forget his past. When Damien meets Alexis his whole world is turned upside down. As he puts it, it's love at

The first few chapters of this book were really rough, like a first draft. But once I got to about the third chapter, there was no turning back. I was gonna read the entire thing. So, I continued along, on my own sweet time, in reading this book. I enjoyed it. There were a few things that I found annoying, but they stopped bothering me after the first quarter of the book. That was when I realized, that based on the culture differences

From the summary you get the idea that the story revolves completely around Alexis and Damien's relationship, which it somehow does but there was so much going around that I really don't think it was the first element. This is what I think made the book so good, that there were many intertwined stories, twists and that every character was involved.

Damien has 3 brothers and one sister, these guys were a handful and so funny through the book! Especially the twins, everything that happened inside t

Review on blog: Tumbling In Books

Damien Martinez is this typical bad boy changes girls like girls changes clothes and he never remembers the name of the girls he dates who also have a broken family. But when Alexis Carver came into his life, everything changes. Both people have a history that scarred them. Somehow, fixed his family back together and managed to change who Damien was to who Damien is now.

This book has a LOT of its pros and cons though. There were some things that got me annoyed.

I saw this (eBook), and I thought, "That looks like an interesting book to read". I wasn't wrong, but I wasn't exactly right, either.

The first thing I noticed when I started to read this was all of the typos; there was a lot. Now, the reason I don't really like reading eBooks (though I have to read them a lot) is all of the typos. It makes the book seem as if it came from Wattpad or Figment, in other words, unprofessional. But, this review isn't for the typos, this is for the actual story line,

I wasn't to sure about this book when I started it, the main issue right off the bat was that there seemed to be some sort of format error and grammatical error's that kept me from really sinking into the tale.

So, as I floated along through the story, I found myself slowly starting to enjoy watching a love story unfold through the eyes of a guy. It is so often we are going through the motions of some great love unfold through the pages in the eyes of a woman, but this was a refreshing change as

The moment I saw the book I knew I wanted to read it and buying it was one of the best decisions I've made.

I opened the book a couple of days ago, read the first two chapters and thought it was okay. Day after that I had time during the morning before I started work and I literally read half of the book in a couple of hours. It was addictive and I died to know what would happen between Damien and Alexis as well as other characters. I finished the book the moment I had the time to read and I hone

Against All Odds has received three wonderful stars from me! Aliaa El-Nashar is a first time author and has produced a charming young adult story.
The plot is simple yet it packs a punch. The reader is quickly immersed in the struggles Damien and Alexis face. Some of it is ordinary teen struggles but both characters also have some strong inner demons they are forced to face as well.
