A Jaunt Through an Apocalyptic Wasteland With a Spiritual Overtone

First this is a short story, but it is very visual and well written. There are thematic elements and also religious implications but the religion is broad spectrum and subliminal for the most part. This was a fast-paced and entertaining short story about two strangers that have just met in a now post-apocalyptic Earth. Neither of them have any memory of what has happened. As they make their way through this strange and unfamiliar world, they encounter more people that end up joining their group.
