This was a very interesting book. An old bf I had introduced me to some Christian neighbors of his. They recommended I read this as well as the book "Wild Swans" which is not a Christian book by the said it was good, which I have not read that one yet. Anyhow they ended up buying it for me and giving it to me as a gift. I love how the characters are portrayed in this book, it is a great read!

Every girl needs to read this book! And then, every woman needs to read this book! We can all relate to Much Afraid's journey, and we can all be blessed, encouraged, and challenged through it. And who doesn't need to know that The Shepherd is good and loves us and knows what we need?!? Seriously, it's a must read!

This is an older book, but it's one that I've thought of years later. I'm reading it a second time, which I don't normally do. It's an allegory, but there are so many parallel's to our spiritual journey in life.

This is a beautiful allegory. I enjoyed how easy it was to relate to and also the underlying truths. The three things she struggled with the most were fear, pride and doubt. They pursued her and Jesus was her rescuer. Great story of how we walk out our lives.

I read this with a friend of mine and enjoyed it. It was cute. I think the author could have used writing lessons as it is an excruciatingly hard read. But I enjoyed it so thats what counts. :)
