Lianne, has defeated the Malborn once, but she knows they will be back. People fear her, but she doesn't fear death. Bryden is dead. With him gone, Lianne has lost meaning in life. If she believed it would reunite her with Bryden, she would have committed suicide. As it is, Lianne is stuck in an emotional void. Her emotions are intense and really come off the page. I could feel the hollowness in Lianne's heart along with the great sorrow she feels over losing her loved one. As though matters cou...more

Lianne begins this novel as horribly depressed in such a way that is eerily similar to Bella in Twilight – only Lianne has a damn good reason for her depression. Lianne learns that even if she can’t be with her true love, her life isn’t over. She’s been told of a disturbing prophecy where she sacrifices 10 girls. And at the same time, two women from her past return to her life – and she’s desperate not to lose them either. The bad guys are predictable in this book, but the ending has a decent tw...more

Little did I know when I first picked up Anathema what an amazing journey this would turn out to be. Megg Jensen had me hooked as soon as I picked up the first book in the Cloud Profit Trilogy and I haven’t looked back. The other books that make up the first trilogy are Oubliette and Severed. The Sundering is the last book in her Swarm Trilogy. The other books that make up the rest of that trilogy are Afterlife and Sleepers. Imagine how excited I was when the release of the novella, The Initiate...more

The Sundering is the third in the Swarm Trilogy and the last in the Song of Eloh saga and honestly, I didn’t expect I would love this so much. I was, actually, having second thoughts about Lianne's effectivity as a heroine in the first book, Sleepers. It was a bit hard for me to connect to her character because she's illogical sometimes.

But after I read the second book, Afterlife, it was clear to me that she doesn't do what she's supposed to do. She'...more

Taken from my blog:

First things first: this cover is amazing! Absolutely stunning, as a matter of fact the entire series has beautiful covers. Once you read this one the cover will make complete sense… when I read the first two I could not understand why the third book is completely different but it all comes together

In the third and final book of The Swarm Trilogy, Lianne is a completely different person. The Malborn were somewhat defeated but Lianne also lost the love of her life in the proce...more

OMG........ Its over.. its all done, I think I just died a little bit inside.. This was a great ending to the series. I remember just stumbling across the first book Anathema, fell in love with it, then I found Sleepers, also fell in love with it. But then when I found out that the 2 trilogies were tied together I think I almost died of happiness (I'm pretty sure I actually jumped up and down, and squealed until my mom gave me one of the looks that only a mom could give you) For the next few days...more

Good wrap up to the series. I liked the way the author chose to proceed in this book and how it all ended.

I loved the all 3 books.

What a great ending. There's no way I could have predicted the ending to this book, but it makes total sense. I'm sad that the Song of Eloh saga has now come to an end, but it was all a great read.
