I found this to be an enjoyable, passionate read.

The author’s use of dual viewpoints means you can really get to know both Nico and Bronte and see the story from both angles. I’m always a fan of Latin heroes with dark, smouldering looks and machismo – and I liked Bronte too. There’s something very appealing about an entrepreneurial baker!

The characters’ first meeting had me smiling (not ideal to meet the man of your dreams while hanging out of a toilet window…), and from that point on I found th More...

This is a great debut novel. I’ve become a bit jaded when it comes to romances; they all seem to follow the same formula. But this was the book of the month for a Goodreads discussion group I belong to, so I read it.. and was pleasantly surprised.

This book stands out from other romances for several reasons. One is the realistic character development. The main characters have areas of their lives where they are quite confident, and others where they are not so secure. Even the secondary character More...

Nico is so hot I think my Nook left singe-marks on my lap where it rested while I was reading this book. Good thing e-readers come with ubiquitous covers so the other mommy's at the gymnastics lessons couldn't tell the reason I was squirming in my seat and biting my hand was because I was on fire! I loved how three-dimensional the characters were in this story and the way that it grabbed you and dragged you kicking and screaming (or in this case, hot, sweaty, and screaming) through the entire bo More...

I did not like this book at all. It's odd for me to give a book only one start. The lowest I give usually is two stars. But this book I HATED. I liked the beginning of the book it had something there but then it just flew flat.

I found myself really pushing myself to finish. To the point that I picked my next book to read just so I could say finish this book and you can start reading your next book. That worked.

I think what I hated the most was the characters. I just could not relate to them or More...

I liked this book, but since Rome was mentioned in the title, I really wanted more of the book to be set there. I liked the characters (Rosie was my fave), and I thought the story picked up once it moved to Rome. While I thought the scenes in England gave a good sense of place, I was disappointed in some of the Rome sequence because I didn't quite feel like I was "there." There were some good scenes during that part that redeemed it though. More attention to setting would have More...

This was a fantastic read, I really enjoyed the characters the story line drew me in and kept me guessing what was going to happen next. Bronte and Nico both had things they did not want to tell each other, and Bronte was dealing with unwanted attention from a man. She is fighting to keep her home and business, Nico wants to buy her home but instead falls in love with her, and he is dealing with his family trying to contact him. I will recommend this book to all my friends and I am currently rea More...

I'm not a big romance reader, but I wanted to read one of get an better idea of the genre and the expectations. I was impressed. There's a continual, plausible disruption to Nico and Bronte's relationship and Rosie is a great source of comedy.

The ending was a twist I wasn't expecting. It was getting down to the last part of the book and I was wondering how things were going to get tied up neatly, but they do!

The book's a good overall package, part quest, part life story, and played out between More...

What is there not to LOVE about a Hot Italian Man! Ok I admit it, I have a thing for Italian's. The Men, The Food, The Language. Etc. Seriously, what woman wouldn't love to have a man speak italian to her while making love? And this is one Hot story!

Nico has struggled most of his life and has made a name for himself. He has purchased Ludlow Hall, but he is focused on The Dower House and he always wins. Standing in his way is Bronte, and she is not willing to sell at any cost. She has been hurt i More...

This book is one fun, addictive, romantic read! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to forget about reality for a while, and get hooked by a delightfully complex heroine and dazzlingly exotic hero. The plot moves right along with a couple big unexpected twists - but not so fast that readers don't get to savor the budding relationship and romance. (Major adult content here!) I just couldn't put this one down! The setting provided for additional enjoyment, also. Looking forward to reading mo More...

Writing a bad review is never fun. This book just didn’t do it for me. I did not connect with Nico and Bronte. Their love making was over the top and at times simply ridiculous (sorry). Maybe if the story was set in a different era it would’ve made more sense. Although I found myself skipping pages, I did finish just because I thought maybe it would get better. I give it 3 stars for effort.

i lived this book. it had the right amount of romance and spice, and of course the fear of love and sub-sequential hurt. Nico and Bronte are perfect for each other. one was strong where the other was afraid and they rubbed off on each other in a very good way.

I can't wait for Run Rosie Run. With how Alexander and Rosie are such complete opposites.. it's a recipe for true love disaster!

Loved it! Great character definition. The relationship between Nico and Bronte is hot! But it's so much more than just the sex. They both have a passion for their businesses, family, friends - life in general. While the past has definitely influenced each of them, they don't let it hold them back. Even the supporting characters are well developed with unique voices. The pacing is great. In fact, I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. This book is well written and edited. I can't wait More...

CC Mackenzie has made this ebook everything interesting and more. In such constant scene for classic romance in one heck of a romance location, you can't help but to admire this fine ebook. And this story proves... right when you wanna throw hands down on love, CC Mackenzie provides a lecture and before you acknowledge, you and that special mate together.

This was the first one of your books I read and it won't be the last. I loved it. Nico sounds like just about the sexiest Italian man you would ever want to meet and Bronte was a spitfire. I loved the story and will recommend to friends. It really was a good read

I enjoyed this book, was a good freebie.
The lead male was typically dominant and the leading lady typically stubborn but they blended and bounced off of each other well and the story was enjoyable.

Wow, this was badly written. Aside from being a cliche factory, I think there were probably only a dozen correctly placed commas in the entire book. At least it was free.

It was funny and I liked that they weren't annoyingly sappy but there was a slow start and I couldn't really get into it. It did get better towards the middle when they went to Rome. From that point on, I couldn't put it down. I just think that in the beginning there was too much unnecessary detail.

Good book, but every time the main character said, cara mia, I couldn't help but hear it in Gomez Addams' voice.
