Jakkes wat een naar mens, de hoofdpersoon uit de Aardbeibeet van Barbara Voors. Molly is celliste in een groot orkest. Getrouwd met een dirigent die het met de oppas doet (waarom ze in hemelsnaam een oppas hebben is me ontgaan, de kinderen zijn al groot). Zoon uit huis geplaatst (schimmig waarom), puberende dochter. En wat doet ze: mokken en zelf een affaire beginnen. Bleh. Niets voor mij. Het zou volgends de blurb een 'spannend verhaal over de gejaagdheid van het bestaan, de kwaliteit van relat ...more

A very interesting book even for those of us who don't play instruments etc. I couldn't help but to feel bad for the protagonist, despite everything she does. I also like the title a lot. It says a lot about the bond of the protagonist and her daughter, it puts a nice/clever emphasis on their bond.

Barbara Voors was born in 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. She was raised in Tehran, Iran, where she lived until her family had to flee the Iranian revolution in 1979. She has also lived in the United States and Great Britain. Voors is half Swedish and half Dutch, her father being of Dutch origin.
