Matthew Plourde’s Eden is an amazing tale of good vs. evil, believing in yourself and love conquering all. Mr. Plourde wastes no time getting the reader involved and interested in this epic apocalyptic adventure! This story is filled with Angels, Demons and prophecies, bringing with them extreme danger and unbreakable bonds. The action starts no later than the first page and continues on to the very last, making it near impossible to put this book down!

from the moment I picked Eden up and was immersed in Alexandra Contreras's world I was enthralled and there was no going back. The book begins firmly in the midst of an apocalypse and follows Alexandra and others through their journey to Eden. Both heaven and hell have fallen to Earth making the journey there difficult.
The characters, the survivors, are astounding in their detail. They are so amazing, in fact, that you forget they are fictional. The characters, their interactions, discoveries,...more

I cannot say that I really enjoyed this book as all the other reviewers seemed to. The premise was interesting and had a lot of potentional, but I did not feel as if the story really held my attention.
Heaven and Hell have fallen, and Alexandra finds herself in a different world. Interesting, yes...but what I find as I read further into the book was a lack of character development and consistency. Normally when I read a book, I am drawn to one or more of the characters. I did not find that with t...more

A very interesting book based on books that is not included in the Holy Bible as we know of today. I have to tell you that I was taken back by its theology, but I had to remind myself that it is fiction. The author has an uncanny ability to reveal very important details of the storyline at the very end of the story. If you enjoy reading a book that can very intriguing and a sustained plot, it is the book for you. However, I warn you if you have Christian-Judaic beliefs many parts the of subject...more

A different view of the end. A young woman is rescued from certain death and begins an fascinating journey south. Meeting up with some friends and escorted by characters who reveal more and more of themselves during the long journey, this first book in a series of three takes some interesting turns as the female protagonist learns more about God, the end times, and especially about herself and her role in destiny.
I think the author did a good job of creating a fantastical yet relatively plausible reality based on Christian mythology. It wasn't too preachy and only quoted the Bible when relevant to the story. Some of it felt a little cheesy, but that might just be because I've heard so many Christian post-apocalyptic tales. It definitely kept my attention and was well worth the time spent reading it.
I grabbed this book from the free Kindle downloads and I'm glad I did. It is well written, with only a handful of minor editing problems (liked "enjoyer" instead of "enjoyed"). It is a new look at the Biblical apocalypse story. It certainly wasn't actually "Biblical" but it was far enough away from the real version that it didn't bother me or feel sacrilegious.

All in all a good, entertaining book. I would have liked it better had the few references to this story taking place in the distant future been cut. They just seemed to clash with the rest of the tale. And the big reveal about who Koneh really is? Not so much a big reveal. Ah well. I did enjoy the read.
