Keely has reoccurring dreams of the fairie realm and of Colin, a man who spurned her a decade ago. Now she’s returned to Ireland to face Colin and tell him of her dreams, but she never expected to find fairies really do exist and she and Colin are Halflings destined to break a 300 year old curse.

My love of Ireland and its myths and legends drew me to this story and I wasn’t disappointed. Ms. Crowne’s world of fairies and destined soul mates made this tale simply magical.

I found "Gift of the Realm" a wonderful, exciting read. There is one very large problem with the story. Make sure you've got enough time to read it in its entirety in one sitting because once you start it --you're trapped. You won't be able to set it down. So take my advice --get the book and clear your schedule.
I heard about this book through a relative who is friends with the author. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm always open to reading books by new authors.

To sum it up without giving anything away, it is love story set in modern day Ireland, complete with myths & legends of fairies. The main character, Keely is in her late twenties and she is coming to live in Ireland in the house that was left to her by her grandmother after she passed away ten years prior. Keely is a successful writer, a
This was a good family friend who wrote this book and I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book and not just because I may our may not be biased. Mac did a great job with this tale. As Amy wrote on her review I too wish the story was longer! It was a great mythical story full of romance and has wonderful characters. She does a great job of bringing each character to life that you feel apart of their lives and its like you can see them when you close your eyes. I look forward to futu ...more

Oh, my goodness! This was one of the BEST paranormal/fantasy books I have read in a long time!

Not only was the story entertaining - but the writing was truly beautiful at times too. I adored Keely as a heroine. She was strong and knew her own mind, and I loved the way she was made aware of her gifts. There was no instant knowledge of what she was capable of, nor acceptance of her fairie blood, making her journey that much more believeable and exciting. The touches of humour were also a welcome a

A sweet story set in Ireland and the realm of the fairy folk. Mackenzie's strengths lie in her amazing ability to make you feel like you're there. I swear I was reading with a broad Irish brogue half the time! A must read.

Hi there. My name is Mackenzie Crowne.

I'm a a wife, mother and really young grandmother. Together with my high school sweet heart husband, a neurotic Pomeranian and a blind cat, I call Phoenix home because the southwest feeds my soul. My love of the romance genre has been a lifelong affair, both as a reader and a writer. A bout with breast cancer sharpened my resolve to see my stories shared with
