I've had some health issues over the last couple of weeks and my reading time has basically been nonexistent. Picking up this book was refreshing and just what I needed to pull me back in. It's finding a book like this that reminds me exactly why I love reading and getting lost in a book. For two days, I lived and breathed with these characters. I was happy, sad, angry, annoyed. You name it and I was feeling it. Tiffany Snow took me through a range of emotions that exhausted me. When I hit the end of the book, I felt drained and had to take a good couple of hours of letting the entire story soak in before I could start this review.

I thought No Turning Back was amazing and I waited none to patiently for this book to come out. I was nervous when I first started this, I had such high expectations and hoping it would deliver. It's often I come to a second book in a series that features the same characters and it doesn't hold a candle to the first book. I have to say that Tiffany knocked it out of the park. I didn't think it was possible, but this book was so much more. More emotion, more action, more drama, more intrigue, more plot twists, more mystery and more romance. The story flowed quickly and just when I was hoping for it to drag, just a little so I could put it down and get some sleep, it kept going adding another twist. It took me away from the problems I was having in my life and enticed me to the world Tiffany created. I was immersed in the writing and Kathleen's life, that as I put the book down it was like a glass of cold water in my face, real life welcoming me back. I may be doing some gushing, but I am hooked to this series and will follow this author anywhere. I can't wait for the series to continue and hope Mrs. Snow is slaving away at the next book as I am writing this :)

This series is written in first person and though sometimes first person frustrates me because I'm dying to have thoughts and feelings from other characters, I feel like it just works with these books. Kathleen is a great lead character and I'm so busy keeping up with her and her life and the disaster that follows her that I don't want any of the page time taken from her. Part of the fun and mystery leaves me guessing on the feelings and motives of those around her. I'm unsure and insecure about things just as she is. It makes it easy for me to connect with her and puts me in her shoes. I feel her doubts and her fears. What path will she follow? When it comes to Kade and Blane, I don't even know what path I want her on, just as I'm feeling loyal to Blane, I feel myself leaning towards Kade.
Love triangles can be tricky when thrown in a book. Sometimes I feel like it's a waste of page space, or the other person is just in the way and I want to shove them out. I'm so enamored with Blane and as soon as Kade steps on the page, I feel pulled in a different direction. He's tough, broken and seems to almost hate Kathleen, but he gives off such strong sexual energy towards her, I can quickly call his bluff for what it is. His character has so many different layers and has great dimension, I can tell the author spent a great deal of time and care on making Kade who he is. When he is being crude and at his cockiness, I can pick up on his subtleties that are coming through. We had a nice little glimpse of Kade in the last book and we are given so much more with his character in this one. When Kade drops his walls and not only shows Kathleen the man that he is, but the reader as well, it was beautiful. I ached for him as Kathleen did. They shared common ground and formed a bond, but then there is Blane. When I felt confused, mad and wanted to hate Blane, I felt there was more to the story and the circumstances and I couldn't discount his allure. I wanted his character to prove me and Kathleen wrong. Though this triangle is tricky and I feel like Kathleen belongs with Blane, Kade is in the corner of my mind, a strong presence who refuses to leave. It makes me question what I really want for her. I don't know what will happen with Kathleen and Blane and how Kade fits in, but I plan to be along for the ride.

Though things are miss-communicated, feelings are jumbled, there is a lot of second guessing from the characters. Kathleen knows she's in love with Blane but insecure if it will last and questions his feelings. She feels that Kade dislikes her but refuses to think about what she knows is under the surface of his anger. She felt it in Chicago and knows there is an attraction. Kade is fighting his attraction and the few intimate scenes they share are beautiful and hot but lack the explosion of not only lust but feeling that she has with Blane. Add to that they mystery and intrigue and Kathleen dodging punches and bullets, trying to stay alive and figure out who exactly wants her dead and Blane's career ruined and you have an amazing story. I loved being able to see Blane in the court room and seeing into the military case that revolves around this story. He is exactly the dominating and suave character I expected him to be in doing what he did best. This trial showed exactly the man Blane was and his reasons for being a lawyer and going into politics. His gestures and instances when he thought of Kathleen first and foremost, though hurtful at times, proved how committed he was.

In the last book, I knew early on who the bad guy was. In this book, my mind was a blank and constantly moving through different scenarios and characters trying to figure out their motives. James made an appearance, he's a given, but I knew I wasn't grasping the whole picture and held on for the ride I was taken on, picking up clues just as Kathleen was. Just as something clicked and I thought all was revealed, I was told it wasn't over and a new twist was thrown in. It was a crazy breathless ride. Kathleen showed how brave and resilient she was by enduring some awful things. She proved she could make it on her own and paved her own way. She proved what a strong woman she was and it was empowering to see.

Most of the cast of character from No Turning Back made a small appearance with a few new characters thrown in. Anyone who was as shocked as I at C.J.'s betrayal in the last book will be happy to know that storyline makes an appearance in this book. There are questions that are answered, things that are explained and tied up, but also a whole new set of questions left hanging and a new set of troubles that are introduced and leaves me to wonder how it will play out in book three.

Overall, I absolutely loved this book. Anyone who likes mystery, intrigue and romance should start this series, or if you just want to see what it is I'm gushing about :) I do want to thank Tiffany Snow for giving me a little bit of a look into both Kade and Blane. What a great surprise to see each of their characters both had a turn at the wheel. Even if it short, it added so much more to the story and I loved that little peek inside their heads(less)

This self published novel needs to be beat with a truth stick. Yeah , that’s right and I've got one...I finished it.I've got tears still racing down my cheeks to prove it. The relationships are the stars of this book. I can't wait for the next one to see what happens especially with Kade. The plotting is better than average but this time Kathleen made more standard amateur sleuth mistakes this time that bothered me but not enough to detract from my overall enjoyment of this book.

Yes, I loved this book too, but not as much as the first one, although Kade charter in this book is totally worth 10 stars. The story, the suspense and the ending - it did blow me away again. Well I am not gonna say much in this review, because I just want to move on to the next book. However I wanted to mention few things bothering me.

I have finally found a book that has gotten the love triangle right! Typically, they're so unbelievable that it's not even worth my time to get invested in them. But this one right here, this is the new standard of how a triangle needs to be written. At the end of this book I remmeber thinking this is what Twilight was aiming for but missed the mark by the entire western hemisphere.

My jaw hit the floor when Blane asked Kade to come protect Kat. Seriously, my jaw made contact with the floor. First of all, I was moved by how much he cared for/loved/cherished/treasured her that he only trusted Kade with her. That's very telling for a man that switches women like the rest of us switch undergarments. Secondly, I couldn't believe that he was that naive or blind or both to not see the budding attraction between the two of them. Geez the tension was so thick at parts you could slice it! And that was true in the first book!

I also liked how Blane really took time out to make her feel comfortable in his world. It's obvious from the word go that they are of two different upbringings. But, I think he takes an extra measure of concern to reassure her and make sure that he knows she belongs and therefore she does. I also like the fact that she was a much more willing participant in his world than some other similiarly written female characters in other popular series right now.

I was team Blane the whole entire and complete way UNTIL that disastrous party that poor Kat walked in on. In her defense, nothing good every comes of you snooping around homes dressed as Santa's slutty helper. Regardless, my heart lept into my throat, out of my mouth and stuck to the wall when I read that scene. I was so, so conflicted because I knew it wasn't what it seemed to be, but when the evidence is there literally looking you in the eye, rational thought isn't your motivator.

So then starts my team Kade side of this. *sigh* I love a protector and he is certainly that. He was so tender with her back at his apartment. I honestly didn't think he had it in him. And then when he exercised his restrait with her, I think I fell in love with him right then and there (plus the added comment about the shoes let me know that we hadn't lost him altogether).

And that's why I'm so conflicted! I can make a decent argument for her to be with either of them. They both love her and they both will do anything for her. But Blane has betrayed her and Kade can't give all of himself to her. She honestly deserves them both but is too good for them both simultaneously. It's the weirdest feeling in the world. But, after re-reading this book, I maintain this: Kat belongs with Blane. However, she needs to come clean about her involvement with Kade. All things done in the dark eventually come to light, and this one revelation that I think she's going to want to monitor it's exposure hereself.

OK so we meet again, lol...

So like i mentioned on the other review for the first book, this book is awesome-er. I thought it had more action, it never got boring-consistent, and the heat between all three was angry hot!!!!

Kade is my favorite brother just because he seems to have more of a vulnerable, gentle and caring side. But also have a very sarcastic, ferocious and dangerous streak to him. I feel like he knows Kathleen so well and really gets her. I like Blane too and his qualities are up th...more

OMG!!! Where to start on this review. One thing I can definitely throw out there first is the fact I loved this series and was completely devastated when Book 4 (Out of Turn) was not going to be released till December 2013. The cliffhanger on Book 3(Turning Point) is enough to drive me insane.

I can relate to the main character(Kathleen) so much that I almost feel like I'm her. And oh boy! two alpha males fighting for the same girl?! Hummm! Nice! The thing I like the most is that in this love triangle we actually don't have a good guy and a bad guy. Both of them are good AND bad. I can relate to the main character(Kathleen) so much that I almost feel like I'm her. And oh boy! two alpha males fighting for the same girl?! Hummm! Nice! The thing I like the most is that in this love triangle we actually don't have a good guy and a bad guy. Both of them are good AND bad. Especially in the first book when we don't really know them very well. There is no perfect guy here, forget about it. They both make and say a lot of stupid things. And also great and sweet things. They can mess with your head, especially Kade. He's more dificult to get. He's the kind of a guy who can slap you in the face with his words but contradicts himself with his actions. He's the tougher brother, so when he let his guard down (and it just happens with Kathleen) and we can see his vulnerable side... huh! that's just so... nah! this one can leave you speechless.
In another hand we have Blane. He's supposed to be the better guy. But then again, there is not bad and good guy here. The diference is about what they do for a living. One (Blane) is a loaded, famous and amazing lawyer who used to be a navy SEAL and the other well... you know! So Blane, he's the womaniser, his relationships don't last more than one month. Well not until he met Kat.

I don't really know what to say about this book. We start this one with Blane and Kathleen dating for almost 6 weeks. And Kat feels that her time with him is running out. Any moment he can dump her for another woman. Now she's more into his world. And obviously she feels like she doesn't really fit in there. After all he's an important and wealthy lawyer who has political aspirations and who she is?! And it's not helping the fact that he doesn't talk very much about his life with her either. Until someday when they go out to buy a christmas tree, someone shout at them. That's when the threats against her life begins. And that's because Blane is working in a very complicated and famous case, that envolves his SEAL friend and this case can help his political aspirations. So this is very important for him. But someone wants him to lose the case, and to force him into this, they threats Kathleen's life. So Blane decides to call the only person he trusts Kat's life: his brother, Kade. Not that Kade really wants to go, after all he's been trying to avoid Kathleen.
And well i'm going to stop here, because I don't wanna give away to much and because so many things happens, so...

I am just going to say that I still don't know which one I want her to end up with, it's still too soon to know. But i can say tha Blane's actions in this book didn't help his case very much. And well Kade was there, by her side all the time.

So I loved this one and can't wait to read the next! This book had everything for me. Amazing characters, intense emotions, mistey. A very good written story. 5 stars! No doubt.(less)

I blogged about my love for Tiffany A. Snow's first book in the Kathleen Turner Series earlier in the week and let me tell you that I liked this book even more! It was everything that the first book was with a little more angst.

This book just made me love Kathleen Turner even more. That woman is fearless fire and while she did have a couple of moments where she realized the severity of her situation as a possible murder target, she remained strong and continued to fight for those she loved. It was everything that the first book was with a little more angst.

This book just made me love Kathleen Turner even more. That woman is fearless fire and while she did have a couple of moments where she realized the severity of her situation as a possible murder target, she remained strong and continued to fight for those she loved. In the second addition to this series, she is trying to help her now boyfriend Blane figure out who is threatening him and causing witnesses in his current trial to disappear. Because Blane cares deeply for Kathleen, he asks his brother to protect her and that my friends might be the decision that determines Blane's fate.

Blane's love for Kathleen was evident in this book by his need to protect her at any cost. What he fails at is communication and expectations. He doesn't seem to let Kathleen into his work and private life the way a person should when they are in a relationship. She ends up finding out important information from others and it puts a strain on their relationship. Blane is from a prominent family and may have politics in his future or he is expected to and Kathleen really doesn't know where she fits in. She doesn't have his pedigree and she is just waiting for him to be done with her because his relationships never last. The problem with these two is neither can come out and say what they truly feel. A few simple words can work wonders (if they are actually used!!). Part of me felt sorry for Blane because he wasn't very experienced when it came to loving relationships and he didn't seem to have a great relationship model with his parents. He needs to get on his horse and he needs to do it soon!

Kade, Kade, Kade! I think I said I would choose Blane for Kathleen (and Kade for myself) in my first review but Kade really gained some ground with me in the Kathleen department. He spent more time with her in this book and it was very evident that Blane was going to have some competition for Kathleen's heart. There was a point in the book where Blane described to Kathleen what he saw in her and it was based on habits, etc and then there was a point where Kade described what he saw in her and it was based on her personality, fears, etc. At that moment, I felt that Kade knew Kathleen a little better than Blane, however, I think her heart is still with Blane and you can truly only give your heart away once (or once at a time). I am not saying she can't take it back and give it to Kade; it can happen! The fact that I will have to wait for three more books before I have an answer to who will eventually end up with her heart is going to kill me. Tiffany A. Snow, can you write really fast????

Between the love triangle and the ever-present threat on Kathleen's life, this book had my heart in a lurch numerous times. I have a feeling that it is going to get worse before it gets better and I kind of like that Ms. Snow has me interested in both men so I am not disappointed when she is with one or the other during the series! I wonder if she even knows how it is going to end?!

I felt this book the whole way through and LOVED it!

Kathleen goes through quite a bit in this story. Not only does she have the target of some madman on her back, she's thrust further into Blane's world as their relationship grows. For Kathleen, the death threats are easier to take than finding out that your boyfriend is on the short list for governor and his uncle is a powerful senator. She's insecure in Blane's world and positive the relationship is a short lived one. But when she stops looking at the ticking clock, the two of them are absolutely smoking hot.

Blane, being raise in the very upper class, becomes a much looser, normal guy when he's with Kathleen. You get the feeling he didn't laugh much until she came into the picture. She also brings out the caveman alpha male in him too. When he needs to put his mark on her, his sanity pretty much goes out the window. Case in point:

“Undo my pants,” he said, breaking off the kiss. I drew back, trying to keep a coherent thought in my head.

“N…no, we can’t,” I said breathlessly. His hand moved a certain way and I lost my train of thought. I struggled to remember why we should stop. “It would be rude…” I managed to say, “and…tacky.”

“Ask me if I care,” he growled. “Undo them.”

Unfortunately, the steps Blane takes to try and ensure Kathleen's safety play into her insecurities even more and devastate her. He has a lot to make up for.

But it's not just her relationship with Blane that has Kathleen in an emotional upheaval, it's also the one she has with Blane's half-brother Kade. With Kade she feels a kindred spirit. They understand each other on a much more basic level and while he drives her insane with anger at times, she knows he'll never leave her alone. Then there is the sexual tension between them. It's hot, but in a much different way than what she has with Blane. It's hard to describe. It's one of those things where you know the sex would be spectacular, but their relationship wasn't meant for that. He's the best friend she doesn't have.

The who, what, why's around the Navy SEAL trial kept you at the edge of your seat. The person responsible for the immediate carnage was a total surprise, but I have a feeling the details Kade uncovered are going to be even more spectacular (hopefully book 3). I think Blane and Kathleen are in for quite a bumpy road ahead.

Tiffany Snow has created characters that leave an indelible mark. Kathleen could be anyone of us and what she goes through feels very, very real. To me, that is what draws me to this series. It's these wonderfully written characters that want to stay with you for a very long time.(less)

Wow, this so far exceeded my expectations!! I read both books in just 2 days total. They were great! These books also seem to be one of those rare occasions where a love triangle works to some degree. I have to admit though, I so disliked Blane that I began reading through his parts as fast as possible, in hopes of getting back to Kade. I am definitely Team Kade. I will be so, so, so unhappy if she ends up with Blane...so much so that I am afraid to read future books lol (but of course, I will)....more

What Stephanie Thinks: I was first introduced to Kat Turner when I reviewed No Turning Back in July — I absolutely adored it! So I definitely had high hopes for Turn to Me, and I can say with confidence, this is a sexier, more dangerous, and much more intense sequel. Kathleen Turner fans, beware: you're in for a seductive albeit vicious ride.

The first part is a little slow and lovey-dovey, mostly showing how happy Kat is with Blane. In the first book, she only fantasizes about him and eventually does win his affections, but in this one, readers watch as her official relationship with him blooms and struggles to stay afloat. Nothing fancy — just the vanilla drama of regular relationships — slightly dull. The suspense picked up after the first few chapters though, for sure.

The circumstances of Kat's very vulnerable position by Blane's side in a recent lethal legal case may lead to her demise, but she can't help but stay loyal to her lover. That's Kathleen Turner for you: our (often foolishly) stubborn protagonist. She's one of both the weakest and strongest characters, which is interesting to watch play out, especially when in the presence of men.

What's most penetrating about Snow's novel is her passionate characters, namely, the two male protagonists: Blane and Kade. To Kat, even despite the immediate risks of dating him, Blane is the perfect man, the perfect boyfriend, the light to her day. Kade, his half-brother, the is the dark to Blane's light, but that doesn't make him any less appealing. Thought Kat will only admit to loving her boyfriend, she can't deny her dangerous attraction towards him. I know, I know. You may be cringing. But hear me out. This isn't a smutty soap opera love triangle; it's very real, very forbidden, and thus, very painful. Kat's already been in a sticky situation by dating Blane, so she's only set herself up to get her heart broken from the start, but that doesn't mean the relationship — or its downfall — will be any easier. Snow perfectly shows the difficulty of real-life relationships through Kat and Blane's interactions, and there just happens to be a troubled, troubling, and delicious half-brother added in.

However, I do have one major problem: Kat's flitting mind. She knows to be the good girl and stay with Blane — the one who easily displays his affections for her, the one she fell for hard — but her heart's going out to Kade. I don't blame her, because he's sexy as sin, but I wish she wouldn't have kept insinuating feelings for him, SPOILER then ultimately settling with Blane. Kathleen's too wholesome to let herself succumb to her attraction to Kade. I mean, no doubt she and Blane have chemistry, but what she and Kade have are explosions. I personally admire her for not consummating her relationship with Kade (Lord knows I wouldn't have been able to resist myself to him LOL), but am disappointed by the increasing tensions that fell flat in the end. I felt like I was being led on because my Kat/Kade fandom was becoming so enthusiastic. Does that make me the biggest fangirly geek ever? Yes, and I'm proud, but only because of how much I loved Turn to Me. I kid you not; Kat and Kade share one of the hottest, most heartbreaking dynamics I've ever read in contemporary romance, and it is without a doubt, my favorite part about this book.

The only reason I hold myself back from giving this one my full 10 hearts is because, while it is the kind of story I felt like I didn't even have to work at — the pages turned themselves! — the chick-lit-y voice detracts from overall substance, whether the particular reasons be Kat's indecisiveness, her fickle mind, or the predictability of the happily-ever-after. No way am I saying the book is predictable, on account of its countless twists and shocking revelations, but the man she ends up with, well, I expected as much. It's just that Kathleen puts herself in a stupid amount of unnecessarily dangerous situations; you'd think she'd learn her lesson and just stay put after the first few times of nearly getting killed. I understand she's being 'rescued' by Blane or Kade to propel the strength of her trust in each of them, but this directly contradicts her determination to be a strong and independent woman. This was my main complaint about No Turning Back as well: the irritating fact that she would be seething in her socks because of a betrayal by or insult from one of the brothers one moment, then quivering in sexual desire the next... flighty much? I'm not tearing her character apart, really (BY NOW YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS BOOK), but her annoying attitude is the main reason Turn to Me doesn't hit home completely.

Regardless, I was mesmerized by this intoxicating, excruciating second installment of the Kathleen Turner series. If you like your suspense novels breezy — if you like high heels with your high crimes — this series, and Turn to Me in particular, will rock will world. Kat's character may stray sometimes and exasperate often, but it's the story that counts, right? In my opinion, the story is the perfect mixture of chick-lit and thriller, of scorching romance and heartbreaking impasses, and that's what makes it one you certainly won't want to miss. Despite being irked, I still loved it (is that tragic or what?) and am counting on Snow for the next in the series.

Loved this book. Amazon was offering the first in the Kathleen Turner series for free for Amazon Prime members which is what originally attracted me to the series. Once I read the first one, I was hooked and dying to know what happened next. I even went back later and purchased the first book as Amazon only lets you rent it for a month. I have read both books twice, (once in April and again last week), and cannot wait for the third around the holidays.

So what if you read this and wonder to yourself if it's highly believable that Kathleeen Turner would be so lucky to escape death a million and one times?! This is escapism at its finest. And to add icing on top, we get two hunky step brothers in love with her And before you lose your shit because it's another love triangle, our heroine doesn't give you much whiplash like most annoying female MCs do in this situation.

I was worried that the momentum would burn out in book two and I wouldn't find it so riveting, but boy was I ever stupid for worrying. Tiffany Snow has got such a knack of keeping you hooked and the suspense continues all the way through.

I really enjoyed the second book in The Kathleen Turner series. It was full of twists and turns and gave me many "holy crap!" moments. I'm looking forward to the 3rd book, which is supposed to be out this year as well :-D

Tiffany Snow is a new author to me and I am definitely impressed. This is the 2nd book in the series and I am eagerly awaiting the next installment. Hopefully it won't take too long.

The characters are well written. They are easy to like (or dislike if that is the case) and they are genuinely believable. The plot has lots of twists and turns that keep you guessing until the end.
