Baby Jaimie was excited that her friend Derek was coming to her class for show and tell. Derek told the class about his first meeting with Baby Jaimie. The other children asked Derek if he would do a wheelie in his wheelchair. Their presentation was cut short when a new boy arrived to class. Baby Jaimie was trying to accommodate the boy because the other children weren't as kind. This made her friend Derek a bit jealous.

This was an excellent story. It's very true to life when it comes to childre...more

This story is a great lesson in old and new friendships coming together. Even when baby Jaimie though all was lost she was able to pull everyone together and they all remained old and new friends alike. This is a good book to teach kids that you can have more than one friend at a time and how to share that friendship. Jaimie Hope gave us a great teching tool for young children who need ot learn what friendship really is. Thank You Jaimie

Even at an early age, I became wrapped up in whatever story was being read. At the time, I just wanted to be part of the story.
It wasn't until high school that I decided I wanted to be a writer. This is when my ideas for the Adventures of Baby Jaimie started forming.
I was on the newspaper staff f...more
