I downloaded this because it had a cute cover. I had no idea it was chockfull of so many real and useful nuggets! I had never heard of the DISC Model and was able to identify my behavior model as well as the three other members of my Leadership Team--all of whom happen to be male! Women in the workplace will have heard some of these gems before, but they are still great reminders. I can see myself coming back to this easy to read primer time and again! My only criticism? Zink, in my opinion, spe ...more

As a woman in business for myself, I do have to say that a great deal of these insights are priceless.

Sarah presents her ideas in a way that makes a lot of sense, is fun and easy to read, and even provides a few laughs throughout the book. It's a fun read, presented in a business-friendly format, and gives the reader great information about conduct in the workplace as well as tricks that anyone can use in their lives.

I definitely recommend this book if you want a little fun business training to

So many self help books out there and so much theory that is vague and unrealistic! NOT THIS BOOK! This is a MUST read!!!!! I didn't just read this book but I studied it with my highlighter for easy reference! I am a small business owner and I can't begin to tell you how many tips and affirmations this book revealed! The author is direct and to the point - NO fluff! My mind never wandered as it does so easily! With every page I identified either myself or a teammate and my/their strengths and/or ...more

Just won 20 Tips for Power chicks! Thank you! I love the GoodReads giveaways. I get to read the most interesting books! Can't wait to read it and I am sure it will make the rounds of my (mostly) female co-workers.

Received this today and plan to sit down and read it tomorrow evening after work...Thank you

Practical advice and I hope to make use of some of it. I didn't really relate to the "DISC" model, but some of the stuff about delegation, perfectionism, relationships between female co-workers d

Of course, I'm partial because I wrote this book, but even after holding the final copy in my hand, I believe this book has real messages for women. It's an easy read, and can be read in 'snippets'. The language is blunt and the messaging gets to the point in a humorous way.

Shelves: business
This is actually a great little volume of advice for businesswomen. Talks about communication styles, differences between men and women, goal setting etc.

It could possibly be helpful if you know someone who is very insecure and unprofessional starting out in the world with no experience with the workplace. Or maybe the real world. My expectations were way too high for this book. This is a collection of clip art and platitudes. To say she is rather sexist in her description of feminine and masculine style would be a major understatement. "Feminine" by her description -doesn't use facts because they are uncomfortable with them, is submissive, and w ...more
