I just wanted to add that while I love the other two books, this one is my favorite. I touch on some very sensitive subjects and let Ace and Alex finally...well...you know...
This may be the end of their story, but they will still forever be my favorites.
**I'm currently gushing at all of you who are adding this book. I may have just squealed and made my dog question my sanity**
So...what the heck was that? I expected a big showdown and all, but then it got to THAT part, and then it was done. Well that really escalated quickly. It seemed hurried. It doesn't need a genius to figure out that I was disappointed.
I also felt like there were too many plot holes. And there were scenes that messed up the timeline. Like one time Alex was talking about her classes "on the third day", yet pertaining to it as the classes on "the second day". Something like that. I kinda forgot bec...more

I had a hard time getting through this one. I kept waiting for the story to start and after reading about 80% of it, I realized the problem: there was no plot. After reading the first two of a rather enjoyable trilogy, this one felt more like an epilogue than a stand alone novel. The overwhelming majority of the novel deals with how Alex and Ace are settling into their roles as a royal couple. It is filled with minor drama and leads to a very minor skirmish that ends faster than it started. I en...more
Badly written (often contradicting itself), a so-so plot where not that much happend, some kisses, two sex scenes and then the lackluster ending (view spoiler). I also never saw the "Every time she tries to get closer to Ace, he seems to pull further away." part of the story, where exactly did he do that? I thought they were spending a lot of time togh...more
How to Marry an Alien was intriguing from page one – Alex is off to college, and Ace has proposed! There wasn’t much of an adventure or mystery about the attacks on the alien/ human couple – not like the first two novels – but the novel did tend toward more drama related to the relationship and the tension it created.
First thing I noticed was that some of the characters changed a bit in How to Marry an Alien. Alex for the better, but Ace seemed a little more “alien” in this novel than usual. I f...more

I am so so sad to see this series finish. I love Alex and Ace and I love the gang like Riley and Lucy. I will miss them but I am looking forward to Magan's up and coming release. In How To Marry An Alien Alex and Ace have survived some ups and downs and misunderstandings and Ace has put a ring on Alex's finger. She is excited to finally be with her man and she is also excited because she is in college. With Ace by her side what could go wrong? Well lot's and I will not spoil it for anyone but I...more
In this third and final installment in the series. Alex is graduating from high school and moving to Arizona to attend college. As she an Ace are driving something darts across the road and they have a terrible accident, and Ace is hurt pretty badly. A team from Circe rescues them and Alex is taken to her dorm, while Ace is taking to Circe, and they won't let her see him right away. She meets Lucy, her new roomate, who is also gay, and her girlfriend just happens to be someone from Alex's past,...more
Eep! I love love loved How to Marry an Alien. Finally, Alex has graduated the strange world of high school and is moving up to college. Alex and Ace’s relationship has been sent through the ringer, and they’ve come out on top. Now sporting a massive Calta diamond on her finger, Alex finds herself attempting to navigate the confusing and liberating world of college while at the same time, coming to realize that she indeed has made a massive commitment, one that affects the lives of everyone on Ea...more
I started reading How to Marry an Alien while at work (thank you, Cloud Reader). Big mistake. It’s hard to focus on your work when all you want to do is read.
While I did have my issues with How to Marry an Alien, I do feel as though it was a satisfying conclusion to Alex and Ace’s story.
What I liked about How to Marry an Alien:
I really liked Lucy and Riley’s relationship in this book. Including a LGBT couple is amazing enough when it comes to a YA novel, but Vernon also highlighted the difficul...more

Another great ending to a great series! Megan Vernon has put a unique spin on aliens that will make every teen girl’s heart swoon!
I believe that this book just might be my favorite to the trilogy. Things are definitely heating up between Ace and Alex. Someone from Alex’s past comes back into her life in the last way she ever expected. AND…some old rival is still up to some tricks.

I was so happy to finish up this series with a smile. I loved Vernon's other books and end the Alien series on a high note was definitely ingenious. Once again, a wonderful job with the characters - I love Ace and Alex. Jen was back YAY! I could nitpick a bit, because I don't think all the themes are right for young adults, but luckily there's a new genre of older young adult books now. Hopefully those older young adults are the one picking up the book. That's just the mom in me talking :). The...more
Felt like different characters from the previous two books but I still loved it! Sad to see the trilogy end. Full review to follow.
