While this series is complete, the story will continue in The Clash of the Overworld. Depending on how that series goes, I can see the clear demarcation between series.

I still am in love with Jayne's inner voice, the lack of overabundant teenage angst and just a damn good story. I listened to a majority of this book in my car via Kindle's text to speech and found myself (more than once) laughing like a loon in my car.

This series has caused me to put Elle Casey on my auto-buy list and I look for More...

I loved, loved, loved this series so much.

First thing, you will NOT want to put the books down, and if you read like I do, will complete them anywhere between two to four days. ALL the characters have their own strengths and the group chemistry between friends is amazing.

MOST IMPORTANT: PIXIES KICK ASS.

There is a pixie, Tim, who will crack you up and have you laughing so damn hard you won't know what to do with yourself. Truth be told, he STEALS THE SHOW, but Jayne (the main character) is such a More...

Well, first of all, if you are really desperate to finish this series don't read first the ending. I did it and my reaction wasn't cute:
So yeah, that happened to me. Sad...isn't? However, I decided that I was still reading the book because I thought that everything would make sense at the end about -at least- the romance-weird thing, but no, it didn't! I just felt more and more confused wanting to skip pages because it was just queer. I found Jayne More...

This book was yet another great continuation of the series. This book has light and dark moments, causing tears of humor then of sadness. One scene in particular had me laughing so hard, I had to reread it to make sure I didn't miss anything. I have to say, that there was finally a bit of resolve with this book, that was missing from the rest. I kind wish that the "spirit" element would have happened a bit sooner in the book to spice things up, because I kind of guessed it would happen. But I lo More...

OK, so I gave the other book in this series 5 stars but I'm marking this one down because it was frustrating. Yes, still great but I'm not a patient person and some of the secrets that were hinted at in the foreshadowing took too long to come out. Plus my frustration with Ben was always right there. I wish I could have liked him more by the end. I was frustrated with the friends' stories too. I don't want to give any of the story away. But I just would have liked to see more develop with the fri More...

New World Order (War of the Fae, #4) was a slow starter for me. It didn't have the same fast pace as the first 3 did until about a quarter of the way into it. But once it picked up I was once again enthralled and hard pressed to put the book down. There are conclusions to the storylines of Jayne's mother and step-father, and there are gripping scenes of war between the dark and light fae. There are also more circumstances and situations that left me anxious to read the next book. I just can't ge More...

In this fourth, and I believe final, book in the War of the Fae series, we are reunited with all of our favorite friends from the previous three novels in this epic story. Picking up where things left off in Darkness & Light, Elle Casey gives us more of this wonderfully crafted fantasy. Don't despair that the story is about to come to an end, however, there is plenty more of Jayne Sparks Blackthorn and her friends in the Clash of the Otherworlds saga, which immediately picks up where the War More...

I cannot begin to explain how much I loved this series. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! I am recommending it to everyone I know!! Such a fun read. Great characters and action. Will not disappoint. Jayne is one of those lead characters that you will just fall in love with. Funny, strong, and extremely likeable. I lost track of time while reading these books. Didn't know what day it was, what time it was...or what my family was doing!!! :)

Elle Casey reminds me why I love to try new authors (I've been known to More...

I read all four of these books at once, so I can't quite remember where one ends and the next starts. I know that the cliff hangers in the middle of the action would have driving me crazy if I couldn't start reading the next book right away, but as it was it didn't bother me too much.

I think with a little extra editing these books could be amazing. There were a few places where I just couldn't figure out what was going on, but the humor, story, and characters more than made up for any little gl More...

Generally, I thought this book was just as good as the others
HOWEVER
I feel that at this point.... Jayne should be maturing. She can be bratty, closed minded, and stubborn JUST FOR THE SAKE OF IT. It's a little irritating how she only sees things in black and white.
As for the other characters. LOVE. especially Tim. He stole the show... he kind of reminds me of Jenks in Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series. I love how Elle Casey makes us love everyone, and even the minor characters have developed pe More...

Let my start this review by saying that I absolutely love this book. Casey finished her War of the Fae series with a bang. It had everything I loved about the series: humor, friendship, love, romance, action, Jayne's bad-assery and a plot that was as awesome as it was unexpected.

The series ending was very bittersweet for me but I loved it. It ended in a way that allows for Jayne's story to be continued, which Casey is doing in Clash of the Otherworlds. Which you guys should be seeing a review fo More...

This was a great book. I think it all wrapped up pretty well. I would however like to know whatever happened to the "cube-eye" though, they were tangeling with a boogie man right before the ending chapters. After reading the first of these books I was hooked. I actually felt like I knew the characters by the end. I also, however shameful it may be, enjoyed the linguistal antics for Jayne throughout the series. I would totally recommend this book along with the others to anyone willing to get los More...

Well that was a depressing ending. I cried a little.
It was also a very funny read as always.
I am happy that things didn't go the way I wanted them to. Not enough authors do that. Most books I read end the way I expect them to. But Casey has no fear with her writing which makes it all the more fantastic.
Jayne did a lot of growing up in this book, she really flourished throughout the whole story. I like that she kept her character as she came in to herself, though. I loved all the characters. I w More...

This is one of those books that you won't want to put down once you start reading it. Does a great job of bringing everything from the first three books together into a great ending and sets things up nicely for future story lines. This book made me laugh out loud many times. Love the writing, the characters and the story. I am proud to say I am a big fan of Elle Casey.

Of all four books, this one was the only one that I found annoying and thought, just for a moment, that I might just throw my hands up and quit. Even now, after it's finished, I'm still unbelievably annoyed with it. I'm going to have to sit on this one for awhile before I give it a proper review - mainly because if I did so now, it would not be a very pleasant one ...

Stayed up WAY too late to finish this one last night! To say I loved it is an understatement. I love the interaction between Jayne and her friends, especially Tim. I cried with Jayne and triumphed with her. The end was a TOTAL unexpected twist. But, it actually made total sense and looking back I could see the lead up to it.

Disappointed in how the series ended. The issue regarding the breach between dimensions was not resolved. Just felt like the "plot" got behind the wheel of a car, and after driving clean, fast, and exciting, suddenly swerves off the road, over the guard rail and off the cliff.

Loved this book as I love all of her other books. It only makes me sad because this could (HOPE IT ISN'T!) be the end of the epic adventures of my favorite Fae.

(I've read the series twice, sssssh! Don't tell anyone!)
