A better than average issue with a thoughtful story by Will McIntosh to round it off.

- "Final Exam" by Megan Arkenberg: a story told as a multi-answer questionnaire, this is an alien invasion merged with a relationship story whose final answer will wary based on the way the questions are answered

- "Waiting at the Altar" by Jack McDevit: by chance, a wrecked ship long lost in space is found. Its discovery reveals that contact with an alien species has been made; but will the aliens still be waiti

Mixed bag for me. I really liked "Scout" (Bud Sparhawk), and was intrigued by "Final Exam" (Megan Arkenberg), which used a multiple-choice test as a framing mechanism; "Flowering Ape" (Alan DeNiro) had some interesting things to say about gender, gender roles, and growing up; the rest was mostly decent with only "The Widdershins Clock" (Kali Wallace) not working at all for me.
