April saw me collect a number of poetry books in honor of National Poetry Month. "Magic in the Backyard" was one poetry collection I could not put down until I had finished it. (Normally I skip back and forth) Kellie Elmore had me completely caught up with life in Tennessee! The poems are fantastic, and the prose you will fall into, waking on a veranda on a summer afternoon with the smell of the fields and a glass of sweet tea. This is a beautiful book of poem really about Tennessee. I started reading your Poems Kellie and I couldn't put them down, didn't take me long to read them. But My favorites have to be "how my heart behaves" and "pretty words would be untrue" those two poem def. remind me of my feeling for my husband. It was a long road to get my feeling across to him and those poem really put into words how I feel. Thank you for givin...more
