You guys? Before by Dawn Rae Miller is a freaking adorable short story prequel to Larkstorm. While nothing major happens in the mere 34 pages this short story takes place, it's a good place to start the series. Right now it's free, so if you're intrigued by Larkstorm, you can get a sense of Dawn's writing style, the world, and the characters in this short. I loved it. It made me want to read Larkstorm all over again!

Excellent introduction!!! This is the prequel to Larkstorm the first book of The Sensitives series. In a world where winter only exists and the State chooses your mate and what your profession will be we meet Lark. Her world revolves around the safety of her school, her social station and the knowledge that Beck will be her mate. Unlike her peers, they've been assigned to each other since they were small. The reason I has this a 2 was because when I bought it, I had already read Larkstorm, so I thought that this was a sequel. If you have already read Larkstorm, do not buy this book, because it has a short introduction that can be read in a few minutes.
Prequel. I really liked this. Bought the first book because I liked it so much.
A great intro if you haven't read Larkstorm yet.
