Scandalous (Scandalous #1)
"I see it, Jack. Your muse is back. The thing that gave you passion, tormented you, and haunted you is back. You're reeling in ecstasy and dread. It's something you want, but can't ever have. And the one that brings the pain is pure, white as snow... and standing in front of you."
One kiss could have changed Abby's life, but when it...more

This is one of the best books I’ve read all year. That’s a heck of a statement, but I mean it. I don’t know how I found this book, maybe it was divine providence, but it qu...more
I'll admit right off the bat I have a thing for priests, nuns and clergy folk in general falling in love and the internal struggles that follow. I blame it on my mom who made me sit through a rerun of The Thorn Birds mini series at what could only be described as an impressionable age. So when I read the blurb for this and found out Abby was a nun still in love with her tortured artist best friend from high school, to say I was anxious to read this is an understat...more
Abigail (Abby) Tyndale returns to Long Island after ten years away. She is in disgrace. As a church minister, twenty-eight year-old Abby has been forced to take a mandatory sabbatical. Loaded down with hefty student loans, without the church to support her, she needs a job and quickly.
Jack Gray is a millionaire and sought-after artist. His work is considered erotic, one step away from porn. His reputation is everything. Selling his art depends on keeping his reputation free of scandal....more
This book is a 4.5 overall (I could round up or down, in this case I chose up) and a 4 for heat. Had the story been longer it may have pushed to a 5, but it all happened way too quickly for my tastes. The art sounded so interesting. I would love to know if it is based on someones work, and I'm dying to see it. It is very difficult to describe beautiful art, but the author did it in a way that left you a bit breathless.

What an exciting surprise. I found this book via a recommendation on Maryse’s facebook page. Gorgeous erotic artist, Jack Gray and preacher-girl, Abby reunite after ten years and WOW… paint sparks start flying everywhere and on everything. Very creative and captivating story. Really enjoyed the emotional artistic detail in the steamy love scenes
I liked this one. I didn't love it.
It was a short read about how one moment changes your life.
Abby thought Jack was her soul mate until she tried to kiss him and he didn't return the movement.
So she did what every woman does.
Runs away and joins the church taking a vow of abstinence.
Abby stuffs up... BIGTIME... and is forced to take a years unpaid leave from the church.
She is kicked out with nothing and owing student loans of $270,000!
She finally comes home and moves in w...more
This book was nothing like I expected. It was completely original, and breathe taking, and just over all like any of H.M. Wards books, mold breaking.

It was awesome. I've read romances before... Stuff like Janet Evanovich's early stuff, and they're cute. Light, fun, easy reads. Scandalous, while still being light and fun, is much more. It's hot! Ap...more
I read that this book was an addictive tease that would leave me breathless and begging for more. That statement is not a lie! I started to read this book on Friday morning and it had me from the beginning and when I finished it Friday afternoon I did feel a little breathless. This books could have easily doubled in length and I would have been a very happy lady!

I felt totally wrapped up in Jack and Abby from beginning to end. Beautiful story, beautify written.
Abby left town ten years ago and hasn't looked back. Her family was gone and all she wants is to start over. The boy she loved rejected her. She is forced out of her church and sent out on her own without any money. She has to survive for a full year on her own and then they will take her back.

This was a Good series , Although I thought it was kinda fast paced , I did enjoy it . I think that certain areas could of been a little more detailed. There was alot of jumping from one ordeal to the next right away
I LOVED Jack and Abby. The connection that those two had was undeniable even after 10 yrs of being away from each other . They acted like they had never been away from each o...more
Okay so this was a different kind of read for me, not bad, but not, oh my God I loved it. The first half was good but I kept waiting patiently for something to happen, someone to make a move, some action if you will, so in a good way, it kept my interest, but in a bad way, I was like come on already lol. After the halfway point things started to happen and it got a little intense and somewhat sexy, then there was some suspense thrown in about 75%...more
I really like the idea behind the story, but I had a really tough time relating to Abby’s character. There was something about the story that I can’t quite put my finger on that rubbed me the wrong way – I don’t think it was the religious aspect, I have read plenty of books where the righteous fall firmly into the evil clutches of the Devil.
Kudos to the author for turning the...more
I love the whole " unattainable goddess " thing and finding your soul mate. Cheesy? HELL NO. This was done right with enough suspense and angst to prevent the cheese curdling reaction from reading something overly cliche and predictable.

The way this book starts out, it was 5 star all the way. The author's writing and the descriptiveness when it came to the art and the love scenes was just so beautiful, I was completely captivated. I was sucked right into the story and didn't want to f...more
What did I just read??? WOW, just wow! This book was SO good. SO. GOOD. I kind of stumbled upon on it by accident. I was originally checking out the Secrets series and this book also popped up. It went on sale so I grabbed it up. The synopsis was very intriguing to say the least. A minister + a provocative artist--what's not to love right?!?! This story seriously sucked me in from the get-go. I couldn't stop reading. The sexual tension between Jack and Abby was exploding off the pages...more
I started the book butmoved on to something else since it was boring. Perhaps I am a little too liberal but I fail to see what the issue is with regard to the art. Nudes have always been acceptable as art. Consequently, I feel I am not part of the demographic targeted by this particular novel.
I'm in <3! Grabbed this on sale today (under $5). Oh yes, I like reading AND saving money. I was waiting and drooling. And the verdict so far is: Its as hot as the cover!!!
It's is a book that has all the ingredients for a NA book but really not, because the MC's are 28 years old so it was really weird and that precisely is my main opinion about the whole story.
Up until half the book it was interesting, for the lack of a better word though as far as I know I really don't know in wich kind of religion a "nun" would preach at the church but let's remember that this is a w...more
Abby tried to kiss Jack when they were seniors in high school. She goes 90% When he doesn't make an attempt to go the remaining 10% and actually touch lips with her, she leaves him and runs for Texas and the seminary. Ten years later, Abby finds herself on a forced sabbatical...more
"Preacher girl, I think you like naughty art," he laughed, a dimple showing as his smile deepened.
Trying to defend myself, I said, "It's not naughty it's..." but he didn't let me finish.
"Then why are you beat-red?" He laughed.
