Warren Stalley
The long running series of Best British Crime has reached volume 9 with no signs of a drop in quality or value for money. This collection offers a rich variety of authors and subject matter. There really is something for everyone. Big name authors rub shoulders with lesser known writers but the reader is guaranteed entertainment.

This is one of the first crime thrillers I've read - I'm not a fan of the genre. Many of the stories were captivating, with well depicted horrible crimes and motives. Some of the stories were hard to stick with, some had good twists, some were predictable.

A good collection, some really cracking stories in here. There were a few I skipped, as always in these anthologies some stories are less appealing. NB these are crime stories not detective stories there are no whodunnits

Maxim Jakubowski is a crime, erotic, and science fiction writer and critic.

Jakubowski was born in England by Russian-British and Polish parents, but raised in France. Jakubowski has also lived in Italy and has travelled extensively.
