In the horror world, there are two camps out there. There are the gore/ splatter/ violence fans and the dark, Gothic fans. Short Sips: Coffee House Flash Fiction Collection 2 is definitely for the literary horror community. 99 flash fiction pieces run the gamut! Werewolves, vampires, monsters under the bed and in your head creep from the shadows to haunt your nightmares.

Positives: A huge collection of dark fiction that focuses on the macabre, creepy, and mysterious rather than gore and violence. With 99 stories in all, there is something for everyone. Zombies, werewolves, vampires, and things I can’t even begin to explain! With so many stories, it was tough, but here are a few really superb standouts:
