Ash was looking forward to a summer of camping with friends and time travelling. Then his Great Aunt fades away (literally), his near-death nightmare gets even weirder and he keeps falling into someone else's dreams. On top of that, his house is attacked and he gets trapped in the past while trying to help a new friend who isn't too friendly. Juna isn't having a great time ...more

This is an awesome book about a 15 year old boy that travels back in time as a ghost! Life can be confusing enough when you don't have to be a ghost for a 15 year old, but Ash loves traveling through pages of a history book. Ash the main character took me on a journey back in time, ignoring warnings from his Aunt Bibi (who gave him the book as a gift that he travels through) not to enter the book as the Evil Kali is BACK!!! But 15 Year old Ash feels he has too to save another, Juna. I don't want ...more

The story begins with Ash, who I at first didn't know if they were a boy or a girl, telling about a reoccurring nightmare. Things can get confusing in the beginning if you never read the first book (Which I haven’t), but it didn't seem like a bad confusion but more of a curious one. I hadn't read the description before getting into the book so I was starting it like a student reading something a teacher assigned with no Idea what I was getting into. I would suggest reading the first book before ...more

Ash's life is a little more complicated than the average kid's. With the help of his trusty book he can travel through time and experience the past. He's saved an ancestor from some very bad things and he might have actually learned something about history during his journeys.

This time around, Ash meets a girl who can also travel through time (without a book, as it turns out) and the two of them don't exactly hit it off. Juna's prickly and scared of this new ability she finds herself possessing
It did take me a bit to get into the book's style of writing but the story is good and Ash is a blast :)

Probably a 3.5. Overall, I liked it. Review to come.

First of all, I, unfortunately, did not read the first book. Second, I won an ARC copy. And third, my review for this book is, of course, my own opinion, however I will try to be as objective as possible.

The story is told from the first person POV. I was unfamiliar with the main characters/narrator/hero of the story so I was a bit confused about the gender. Luckily this was cleared up early on, and quite quickly. The narrator pretty much tells the story as a stream of consciousness. This worked
