Kyla has always felt that she was different. She moves through life with the help of her best friend, Lexie, and counting the days until high school is over.

Suddenly, a new boy appears at school. He is beyond beautiful and Kyla can’t seem to stop thinking about him. The chemistry between them is something that Kyla has never experienced and can’t begin to explain.

But Grant has a secret. He was sent to protect Kyla and to usher her into a world and a future th...more

I was given this copy free to review, but as always on the basis that my opinion is honestly held, and whether paid for or free my views are not influenced by that. Integrity is important to me and gushing false reviews do neither author or reader any favours. As always my views are what I honestly feel about this book.
Young adult paranormal romance genre from Lyrical Press.

It opens in fairly typical young adult fiction style with a new boy (Grant) at school whose gorge...more

Wow! Loved this book! Even though chapters are a great place to stop and take a break (you know, to eat and sleep and stuff like that), I found that I couldn’t put this book down! I had to know what was going to happen next. According to the author’s website, there’s a book two to follow Gossamer. YAY! I love series! Here’s a few of my favorites....

FAVORITE SUPPORTING CHARACTER: Lexie! She has a brash sense of humor (not overly-so, but just perfectly-so), unconditional support for her best frien...more

This book is hard to rate – on one hand, it’s a bundle of paranormal teen book clichés (hello, insta-love, love triangle, uber-protective hottie, I-hear-I’m-pretty-but-i-really-don’t-think-so-myself-but-gosh-darn-do-these-boys-seem-to-love-me AKA speshul snowflake syndrome, aaand… well you get the picture), but on the other hand, it did keep me reading all the way through, and there were some parts that I actually liked.
The best friend, Lexie, is actually a good person. With a working brain and...more

GOSSAMER delivers the perfect combination of romance and paranormal to a fantastic new series about the Fae. Renita Pizzitola accomplishes what few authors can in the first of a paranormal series: she creates a new world for the reader without the reader ever feeling like they're getting an encyclopedia description of the new mythical world.

Part of what made this book so great was the way the story begins as a normal young adult romance with Kyla seeing Grant for the first time – their connecti...more

Seventeen year old Kyla is a pretty average teenager. She comes from an incredibly stable and loving home, does well at school and has a nice group of friends. Then she lays eyes on the new boy at school Grant and her attraction to him is undeniable. He evokes such strong feelings in her and she's most definitely never felt anything like it before. But Kyla is approaching her eighteenth birthday and she is about to learn that things in her world are not as they seem and her existence as she know...more

Kyla is definitely the type of teenage girl that many of us identify with. She's a bit shy, has an awesome best friend who pulls her into new situations, and she feels like a lot of teenage girls--awkward! When she meets the new boy, Grant, she experiences that surge of hormonal attraction guaranteed to lead her on the path of self discovery and romantic fantasies. However, for Kyla, self discovery turns out to be more than just the thrill of falling in love. Kyla learns that she is part Fae and...more

I really enjoyed this book. Was rooting for Kyla and Grant the whole time but at the same time my heart goes out to the prince. Cant wait to see what the king has in store for this couple.

This was such a fun read. It reminded me of Twilight, in the way that you are sucked into that high school world and loving every minute of it. I hope Renita writes a sequel.

An avid reader herself, Renita Pizzitola enjoys stories with witty humor, characters you never want to let go of and fun, sexy romance. She lives in Texas with her husband and two children. When not writing, she enjoys reading everything she can get her hands on, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and playing referee to her two typically adorable children.
