I bought this book after reading the first book in the series. I was hoping the author would spend more time developing the characters and slowing things down a bit. It's so short and fast that you don't have time to get to know the characters and enjoy the story. It could've been so much better. I was disappointed and won't be finishing the series.
I adored Patrick but wasn't a huge fan of Phoebe. There were several times I wanted to smack her.
Same as with the first book, I am shocked that I didn't love it, but the last 25% of the book made up for it. The only explanation that I can give is that if I don't love one of the characters, then I won't love the book.
